Chap 12: Tennessee Part 1 (SYDNEY AND CARTER)

Sydney's POV 

It's finally Thursday morning. I'm up at 5 o'clock this morning to get ready to go on a trip with Carter. He is coming over at 6:15 so we can leave. I need to start getting ready.

I showered last night before I went to Carter's house so I don't have to shower again. The first thing I do is go pee. I always have to pee in the morning. After I pee and wash my hands I brush my teeth. I brush out my hair and then hear a knock on my bedroom door. When I open the door Garry is standing there with a cup of coffee. I thank him and go back to my bathroom. I spray my hair with heat protectant and brush it through. While I am waiting for it to dry I put on my foundation and powder. I straighten my hair and french braid two front sections and pin them back. I put bronzer and blush on and then start on my eyes. I do a natural smokey eye and put on some eye liner and mascara. I put on a clear lip gloss and then put my makeup back in the container and put it in my carry on. I make sure my dress for the wedding and my shoes are in my carry on. 

I start to get dressed in my outfit for the day. I put on some light blue skinny jeans and a white skin tight tank top. I put on a coral flowy tank top and a green, coral, and white scarf. I put on a pair of coral flats and a watch with a coral strap along with a coral bracelet on my left wrist. I make sure I have all the school work my teachers gave me. I put it in a folder and set it carefully on top of my things in my carry on. I use the intercom we have in our house to call Garry to my room. When he gets there he grabs my bags and we head down the stairs. 

By now its almost 6:15 so Carter should be here any minute. I walk back up stairs to tell my parents goodbye and to make sure Rob is ready to take me and Carter to the airport. When I wake my parents up they insist of coming downstairs to tell me and Carter both goodbye. They grab their robes while I walk down the hall to Robs room. I knock on the door and he answers. 

Rob- Hello miss. I am so very sorry for running late this morning.

S- Oh no Rob you aren't running late. Carter isn't even here yet. I was just checking to see if you were ready to go when he gets here.

Rob- Yes mam. We can leave whenever. 

S- Okay. 

With that we walked back down the stairs. Carter was sitting on the couch waiting for me. He stood up and walked over to me giving me a kiss on the cheek. My parents walked over and gave us both hugs and told us goodbye. I grabbed my carry on and my purse and carter grabbed his book bag and his suitcase. Rob took my suitcase and led us to the car. We put our suitcases in the back and then hopped in the back of the car. We drove for thirty minutes and then pulled up to the airport. Rob parked the car and grabbed my suitcases and Carter grabbed his suitcase. 

We got inside and said thank you and goodbye to Rob. Me and Carter walked up to the desk to check in our suitcases and get our plane tickets. It's a direct flight so we won't be in the airport all day. 

We start walking towards security. Once we get there we get to go straight through because it is only 7:10 so no one is really at the airport. We take off our shoes, jewelry and watches, and set everything in a container. I walk through first and the xray machine doesn't make a sound. Carter walks through next and nothing happens so we put all of our stuff back on and grab our bags. We walk over to where our plane is to sit down. I wanted some coffee and something to eat so I asked Carter if he would get me something from Starbucks. He got up and walked to the Starbucks coming back 5 minutes later. 

****ONCE THEY LAND IN TENNESSEE****

 We get off the plane and head towards baggage claim. Carter grabs my bag and his off of the conveyor belt and then we head towards the car rental desk. I walk up to the desk and talk to the lady.
