Chapter Sixteen

"Then who?" Jack asked

There was a long pause.

"Well are you going to say who?" I asked

"Kris and Robert" he said and I furrowed my brows

"Kris Jenner and Robert Sr?" I asked and he nodded

"Why would they purposely keep my father away from me?" I asked him

"I loved your mom but I wasn't good for her. I loved you but I just wasn't ready to be a father" he nodded "despite all the love I had for you two I was always leaving but I would always come back until one day Kris and Robert pulled me aside wrote me a check and told me to stay gone. I signed a contract and everything" he explained and I shook my head. I couldn't believe them.

"Does my mom know about the arrangement?" I asked hesitantly

"No she has no idea. I mean she didn't at the time anyway" he nodded

"Well I've got to go" I brushed off his last comment and stood up and Jack followed along

"Well I'd like to get to know you if that's alright" Jason suggested

"Yeah umm contact my people and I'll call you when I'm ready. I just need this to sink in for awhile" I told him and he nodded

"Yeah I completely understand" he said and with that he was lied out

"Wow that's rough and a lot of info to take in" Jack said as we paid for the bill and just nodded. I had no idea what to say... for the first almost nineteen years of my life I didn't have a dad and come to find out it was all my grandparents doing. If it wasn't for them I could've had a dad.

"Where to your place or mine?" He asked as we got into the car.

"No Kris's place" I said blankly

"No Kenn I don't think that's a good idea" he shook his head

"Drive me to Kris's or you can drop me off at my place and I'll drive myself your choice" I groaned. He let out a loud sigh

"Okay fine" he said as he made a u turn at the lights.

The drive was pretty quiet but we finally made it to Kris's. I made my way to the door and Jack hesitated but began slowly walking behind me.

"Kennedy you're here" my mom and Kim smiled

"Mhmm" I nodded and I took a seat next to Kourtney at the table.

"I thought you and Jack couldn't make it?" Kris asked  as she scrolled through her phone

"We were done so we went to dinner" I said

She nodded "oh and how was that?" She asked but not once did she make eye contact with anything but her phone.

"Oh it was great right Jack?" I asked sarcastically. I got some confused looks from my mom and my aunts and Kris finally set her phone down and looked to the back hall to where Jack was standing and all he did was nod

"Ask me who I saw" I told Kris and she looked around

"Who did you see?" She asked as that confused look was plastered on everyone's face

I sat back in my chair "Jason White" I said as I crossed my arms and everyone's eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets

"Doesn't ring a bell" she shook her head

"Oh it doesn't?" I asked and she shook her head

"Don't do this Kennedy. Not here" Kourtney said and I shook my head
