"Evangeline, you have to eat. It's been two days, time to get over it," I looked up at Audrey. She held a tray of food and no sympathy."Get over it," I continued to look out the window, the sun shined way to bright for this dull winter day, "you are all monsters who are holding me captive. You killed my friend, and now you have the never to tell me to get over it!" I stood up abruptly swing my hand I knock the tray out of her hand the food flies all over the room, "I would rather starve then stay here another minute."
Audrey stairs me down, "that's it you selfish little brat!" She grabs my wrist and yanks me out the rooms door almost yanking my arm out of its socket. Opening the front door she throws me outside onto the dead front lawn. The hard dried up grass sticks to my pants as I stand up from being thrown down.
"Leave!" She roars, "I don't know why my brother bothers with you any more, but I'm not! So go!" I look at her a monster in the flesh. Not hesitating I run. I run with hope of getting away.
My hope was cut short when I was tackled to the ground. Groaning in pain I curse under my breath, "sorry princess, but alpha will kill me if you leave."
Alex leads me back to the house. I was locked back in the same room. I pounded on the door only giving up when all my strength was gone. I collapsed on the cold, hard, wooden floor.
Out of breath.
Out of energy.
Out of the will to live.
One thought away from drifting away.
So I lay here, clutching to this decorate thing collated life, as it slipped through my finger, and no matter how hard I tired to grasp it, no matter how hard I tried to keep it tied together, it was falling through my finger like water.
The door to the room opened and hit me on my side. I didn't make a noise for I had no more energy left. Who ever the person was pushed opened the door full force and I went flying into the bed post, "Evangeline? Evangeline!" The voice of the girl I helped not to long ago.
I picked up my head pried one eye open, then my head fell back down, and she stopped me into her arms and we went somewhere outside of the room.
"What happened?!" I could hear voices around me, but my eyes were glued shut.
"I-I don't know!" I could hear Harley's panicked voice.
"Audrey!" Leah yelled her voice was sure to boom miles around.
"What it it?" Audrey more than annoyed voice came into hearing range.
"What did you do?" Leah, if not already had been surly pointing at my sum-what conscious body.
"I didn't do anything," Audrey must've been holding up her hands in offensive.
"How do we fix her? If Jonathan comes back and she's half dead, we're gonna get decapitated!" Harley's voice was full on panic, and I was set down on something soft. Maybe a couch.
"I'm not in the mood, I'm not human y'all figure it out," I could hear footsteps of a person walking away.
"Audrey! What is your problem!?" Before she could answer I felt my back arch, mouth foam, and I began shaking. My eyes rolled to the back of my head then I lost conscious.
"I'm not a human doctor, but I'm pretty sure she's stable. I put her on an IV," I head an unfamiliar voice That's was followed by darkness.
"Do you know what happened to her?" The voice I held so much hatred for.
"No, hard to say. Sorry alpha. Maybe you should get a human doctor," I slowly started to regain my vision. The bright lights almost blinding me in the attempt.
"Hey, Hey, easy there," a pair of arms were soon around me pushing me back down. I groaned as all I could see was blurry mess.
"Don't touch me!" I managed to growl out.
"Evangeline, stop this nonsense," I shook my head. He removed his hands and looked up at him my vision fully regained.
"No. Never," he sighed.
"Alph your father. We finally managed to track him down, and-and we found him with Paiten."
Two guys walked in the room the one on the right was talking. I looked up at them both, "it's been weeks how did you finally manage to track him down?"
"He began to be sloppy with covering his tracks. As if we had just given up," Jonathan nods his head.
"Tail him. Don't make a move until my say so," they bowed then left. I almost pleaded for them not to go not wanting to be left alone with the monster.
I watched his every move, fearing I would be his next kill, "Evangeline, I'm not going to hurt you."
His green eyes looked into my brown eyes, "I don't know that."
"Please trust me. Why would I hurt you when I need you?" I shook my head.
"Because your a monster and all monsters do are kill," his face mirrored an expression of hurt. Without saying another word he walked out the room.
