Shirk, Murder, Zina (Part 4)

Who Gets Allah’s Mercy? – Part 4

Please refer to the previous post for the first four categories of Ibad-ur Rahman.

Category #5:

And those who invoke not any other ilah along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse – & whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection & he will abide therein in disgrace. Except those who repent & believe & do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds & Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

{Surat Al-Furqan 25: Verse 68-70}

•Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’aala) opens the door to all Muslims in this category! You are special to Allah if you don’t call anyone other than Allah. Nor kill anyone. Nor commit zina.

•One might wonder why did Allah put this category? What’s so special about it? Imagine the difficulty of someone to worship Allah whose whole family is a mushrik, and they’re the only one on Tauhid. Or someone who lives in a notorious gang neighborhood & refuses to join any of them, the refusal of which means risking his life. Or those who get a lot of attention from opposite gender, but remain committed not to have boyfriends / girlfriends. These people hold themselves at a higher standard!

•Shirk, murder & zina are great sins & the punishment for the Muslims will be doubled because they knew it was wrong, yet they STILL did it. But what if we have already committed these mistakes in our lives? Never, ever despair of Allah’s mercy because Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’aala) says in the same passage that He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

•But here’s the exception: If a person did any or all these 3 sins, but have turned back to Allah, fix his faith, become a believer again, take his actions very seriously i.e. really keen on doing good deeds from now onwards – for this such person, Allah will not just get rid of his sins, but will convert all of the sins into a mountain of good deeds! Allah will make them as Ibad-ur Rahman because they were so far away from Allah yet they came back to Him. Never forget that Allah is always extremely forgiving & always loving!

And whosoever repents & does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.

{Surat Al-Furqan 25: Verse 71}
