Free Fall

I gave you my heart, wrapped up all nice in a box and a bow. You held my heart in one hand, and a rope in the other. You told me, "close your eyes. Trust me because after all-I'll use this rope to tie us together." Now don't get me wrong: you did use that rope, but not to tie us together, oh no, no. You carefully crafted a noose, put around my neck, and yelled, "jump." I loved you, I trusted you. Because after all-you did make a promise. So I started to free fall to my death realizing what you've really done, and with a loud bang my body hit the floor below. So much for that loving guy I used to know.
