Guns do not kill people, nor do people kill other people. The only thing that has the power to kill besides-mother nature-is a word. It doesn't even have to be more than one. When a word is said, you think of something, feel something, or even do that something. You can put a gun in the hand of a killer but even he must hear the word "shoot" in order to commit such a deed. Whether or not it's said aloud or simply in his head.
Words are the things that drive us apart, separating us into categories causing stereotypes and labels. Words are the thoughts we think and the things we say. Words give us the power to kill a life or save a life. The scary part is, you can't control who uses them.
