❝ psst ! paul ! ❞ you then leaned in to where he is, his face remaining his stoic expressions as he looked at you in questioning. you two are sadly in detention, to which you already planned to happen.

❝ i like you ! ❞ a grin crept to your lips as you waited for his aswer, your [ hair length ] [ hair color ] jumping by the sudden action of giggling. he looked at you just the same as before, unfazed of what you said.

❝ i don't like you. ❞

Sure enough he was true to his word on not liking you - you guessed. After the confession, you still continued liking Paul. Well who would stop even? He's smart, helpful to teachers and students, and let's add that as a bonus of his gorgeous appearance. Everything of him screams perfection.

❝ oh ho ho, would you look at that. Is that a love letter you're holding? ❞ one of the jocks teased as you wearily shifted your gaze to them. Grins plastered on their faces as you gripped the love letter and side-stepped them.

Unluckily for you one of the jock easily grabbed the letter making your eyes widen, as you desperately reached for it as well as spitting some curses from time to time. How can this day go any bad? First Paul rejected the letter, and now the jocks are teasing you. What else? What else could happen-

❝ stop. ❞ a firm yet familiar voice can be heard as your head snapped to him, Jacob. he easily grabbed the paper from the grasp of the jock as Jacob went over to you, hand grabbing your arm as he pulled you close to him. beside him was Paul,

His glares made the jocks shut up, considering he is afterall the captain of the Football team - and the athletes just so happen to be his teammates too.

❝ don't do that ever again, or else you're gonna find yourself out of the team. ❞ with that the athletes left, leaving you with Jacob and Paul.

❝ Thanks Jay, ❞ you smiled at him, although your eyes went back to Paul which made your energy run low. with a nod, you left the hallway.

You surely was close to giving up, you've done a lot already. And with each passing day Paul would stay the same, well maybe sometimes he'd offer to go to school with you but other than that he's still the same old stoic Paul.
