(10) Lies

~after dinner~
All the adults are talking to each other on the dance floor while Mike is flirting with some girl and I'm on the balcony of the hotel. I look up to the sky and saw million of stars.

"Tonight's very beautiful. Don't you think,Vee?" I could tell it's Sam but I ignore him. I look at my nails as I play it. Suddenly, he stand next to me with his hands in his pocket.

I ignore his presence and stay quiet. "Vee, we need to talk. I didn't get a chance to tell you why I did it." I scoffed and smile. "You think I'd believe in you even if it makes sense to any other girls you cheated on? I'm not any girls,Sam. You know it."

He walk closer to me and I could feel his hot breath on my ear. "You can't resist me." I turn my whole body to face him angrily. "Why do guys say that all the time? They don't even fucking know how much they hurt the girl and just go around stating lies."

He hold my hand and look at me. "I'm sorry,okay? If you would just let me explain, you won't regret it." I look down and stay quiet. "Maybe if I wasn't so stupid for loving you, I wouldn't be in this situation right now. And I fucking regret it. I really really do."

Silence filled between us. He look up at me and hold my hand tighter. "That day when I wasn't at school, a girl came to me and started threatening me about you. She said she won't do it if she and I do... It. I don't have an option that time,ok? I just fucking care about you!"

I scoffed and smile sarcastically as tears started falling off my cheeks. "Let me guess. Turns out she was lying.. my god... Awesome story you got there,Sam. I don't even know why I was in love with you."

"I-" I shake my head and walk away. "Vee! Wait!" I quickly walk away and call a cab to take me home. I texted Mike and said I'm not feeling well.
