(18) Celebration

Tonight my family will be celebrating me and my brother for passing our finals. My parents throw a big party for us. They invited our close friends which means Isaac will be at the party.

We haven't talk to each other since the day he came to apologize with a kiss. It's been awkward and weird for me. Especially when he's gonna be at the party tonight.

↑↑↑ is Vee's dress.

I put on my dress with a pair of shiny black heels and put my hair into a messy bun. I put on a light makeup since it's just some party.

I walk out the house and the limo bring me to the place once I grabbed all my stuff. Syd and Sam is already there since the party started about an hour ago. I'm not in the mood to greet Isaac as he walked in just now so I came late.

I walk out the limo and fix my dress. I take a deep breath and try to relax myself from freaking out. As I sigh, I continue to walk towards the entrance.

"Here goes nothing." I open the door and revealed Isaac smiling and chuckling with some girl. He look at me without stopping with the smile and look away back to the girl. He seems happy with her. I guess this night is gonna be terrible.

I need to find Syd and Sam. I walk through the crowd as I saw Syd and Sam talking to each other. Suddenly, my brother stop in front of me with Isaac beside him.

"What is it,Black?" I lift my eyebrow as I crossed my arms over my chest. He smile and grabbed my wrist. "Mom and dad is making a speech for us. Let's go up the stage,shall we?" I roll my eyes and sigh annoyedly.

As we both on the stage, my dad hold the microphone and everyone turn their attention towards us. Everyone is smiling so happily which makes me sick.

"Okay, everyone. This is my son,Mike and my daughter, Violet. I'm here on the stage with my wife proudly to say that we're very proud of you both for your achievements." Everyone clap their hands and our friends started yelling 'wooo'.

I fake a smile and look at everyone. Mike look at them generously and sincerely. He loves everyone that loves our family. I gotta admit he's the nice one in our family while I'm the badass.

"So everyone, let's give them a toast for being the most amazing children for me and my wife." Everyone yell cheers and drink up their champagne. My brother rub my arm and hug me. I hug him back and pull away.

"I'm not a hugger,prick." He chuckle and hug me tighter till I can't let go. I push him but he doesn't budge. "Stop it,Mike. Everyone is watching." He laugh and hug me even tighter.

"Say you're sorry."

"Never."

"Okay then." He tighten the hug and I can't breathe.

"O-okay! Sorry!"

He let me go and laugh. We get off the stage then head to the dinner table where everyone is sitting. I take a seat between Syd and Sam. Sam give me a kiss on my cheek as we hug.

"So,Mike. Where do you plan to study?" An old man started. Mike look at him and smile. "Maybe Yale,maybe Oxford. Not sure yet. But Vee knows where she's going." Thanks to Mike everyone look at me curiously.

"Oh, really? Where is she going,Luke?" That nosy old man look at my dad. He smile at him and pick up his glass of champagne. "She's studying with her best friend,Syd in East Side University."

I look at my dad and smile. He return the gesture and the nosy old man nodded. I look at Isaac and he's smiling at himself. Suddenly, my brother texted me.

I look at him and lift my eyebrows. 'just read it.' he mumble quietly. I look at the text.

Mike: I guess you,me and Isaac will be studying at the same school again,lil sis.

Me: Are you serious?

Mike: Yeah, what's so shocking about that?

Me: Nothing. I'm out.

I put my phone on the table and I feel uneasy. I thought I'll be having my college life without him but he just won't go away. Goddamnit.
