Chapter 3: Dumplings.

"Um, are you Kim Jisoo?"

"Uh Yes"

"The president would like to see you now" Jisoo smiles and nodded. she fixed her hair and her outfit, she wanted to be representable.

she's just worried that what if the President is a perfectionist? what is she criticizes a lot?

she took a deep breathe before going inside the elevator.

she also heard about the president that she was mean, tough and heartless but she didn't mind. she heard about the success of the company and she's pretty sure her boss is an amazing boss.

"Hello, I'm Kim Jisoo." she greets the girl outside the office.

"Hello, President Kim is waiting for you inside" Jisoo
let out a heavy sigh before opening the sliding door.

there was a person seating on a chair facing the other side, she believes it's the President.

Jisoo's eyes was diverted to the name on the desk that says

he felt weak after reading the name. she didn't knew she would be the president.

The chair slowly turns around
with a nervous smile. she stood up and greets her.

"Hi, Ms.Kim Jisoo? a pleasure to meet you" Jennie says with all the confidence gathered.

she lend out her hand for a handshake but Jisoo felt weak to hold her hand.

it's been 14 years since she last felt that warm hand.

"it's very disrespectful if you just stare at it don't you think Ms.Kim Jisoo?"

"Oh, I'm sorry." Jisoo smiles awkwardly before shaking it quickly.

"Okay, you may take a seat."
Jennie smiles slightly before seating while Jisoo sat infront of her.

Jennie felt her whole body tensed, there was a tension between them and it's really not helping.

"Why exactly did you call me here, President.Kim?" Jisoo asks nervously. fidgeting her fingers on her lap.

"Well, I would like to consider you in this Job. as my Secretary, as I've read in the resume I thought it would be good to have you as my secretary, with no other reasons" she says.

"You're hiring me? Wow, Thank you so much Je- President Kim" Jisoo looks down on her feet after almost calling her by her name.

she wanted to slap herself right now.

Jennie's eyes was diverted to Jisoo's hand.

There's a ring. she mentally rolled her eyes but when she looks again, her heart felt like melting.

Our wedding ring. Jennie knew she wasn't mistaking, she bought that ring for Jisoo so how can she forget?

"I hope I won't regret hiring you, and I am looking forward with working with you. can I count on that Ms.Kim?"

"Yes, Of course. I promise to give my best" Jisoo says.

don't promise! you've already promised me one thing and broke it!

"I hope you'd be the woman of your words Ms.Kim" when Jennie said that she felt a pang in her chest.
