Chapter Five

Hey everyone! I just got back from vacay on Sunday to see I reached 101 FANS! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I never thought I would get 10 fans, let alone 101!

You'll be getting a surprise by Friday. What was it? Well...let's just say a certain sequel may be uploaded on Friday ;).

Chapter Five

"Yoo-hoo! Uncle John?"

I looked around the lab as Andrew continued to call for his 'Uncle John'. It was just like the science labs we have back at the high school. Lab tables spaced equally apart from each other, two stools waiting to be occupied. A podium and white board were postioned at the front of the room. A bit of disappointment washed through me, I was expecting something...bigger.

"Andrew! What a surprise!"

I turned to look at the man who hugged Andrew. He was tall, really tall. Jeez, if Andrew grew to be that height, I'm screwed. The man wore a white lab coat, cleaning his glasses on the coat. Sadly, his dark brown hair was almost gone, revealing a big bald spot, years of stress I assumed. After commenting on how much Andrew grew and what not, he finally turned to me. I offered a little wave.

"Helloo." I said in a sing-song voice. 

He smiled back, "Hello...and you are?"

"This is Emma Jonas." Andrew jumped in, smiling between the two of us.

John smiled, "Ah, so this is the famous Emma you never shut up about." He chuckled.

I laughed along as Andrew turned into a very masculine shade of pink. I decided that I let him suffer enough, (hey he deserved it after boring me with all the science talk!) and I jumped in.

"Well, I am pretty amazing." I said, jokingly flipping my hair over my shoulder.

John laughed, "I'm sure you are, Miss Jonas." He then focused on both of us. "So, what brings you both to my humble classroom?"

"Well, we were wondering if you could run some tests.." Andrew rocked back and forth on his heels, afraid of his Uncle's responses.

John raised an eyebrow. "Alright...on what exactly?" 

"Me." I gave a small smile.

John raised an eyebrow, so I dove into the story about my powers. I  told him how I was the one taking up the airwaves, everyone talking about my triumphs in helping others. I also told him how I had no clue on why (or how) these..'powers' developed...they just started appearing. After I finished the recap, John took off his glasses, cleaning them on his coat once again. I was starting to think it was more of a nervous habit than a need. 

"Andrew, I love you, but I have some real work to be doing.." He put on his glasses once again and began to walk in the way he came.

Andrew ran in front of him, "No! It's true! She'll show you," He looked over John's shoulder and stared at me, "C'mon Emma! Show him!"

John turned to me, curiousity now sparkling in his own eyes. Funny, just like Andrew when I told him about my powers. I came back to reality, nodding I stepped back from the two men. I closed my eyes, focusing on disappearing from their eyes, I'm sure there was a way I could turn invisible with my eyes open....but it was so hard. 

Maybe John could help me with that. I opened my eyes to see the boys staring at me. Andrew wore an "I told you so.." look as he glanced at his Uncle. John looked like he just shat his pants. His eyes were wide as he stared at the place I was standing.
