Chapter Six

"Andrew! Where were you?!"

Diana's shrill voice cut through the air like a knife...and my brain. I closed the car door and looked at Andrew, he looked as annoyed as I felt. The whole car ride home he wasn't himself, I think he was still embarassed about holding my hand a couple of minutes longer than needed.

Geez, I told him it was okay. The kid needs to calm down.

Diana ran over to Andrew and planted a sloppy kiss on his lips. The boy looked horrified, or, it could just be me. He gently pushed her off, keeping his hands on her hips.

"Di! What are you doing here?" He asked, looking down at her.

"I came for our date!" His surprised look threw her off, "Remember? Dinner and a movie?"

Andrew nodded, "Oh yeah! Sorry....Emma and I had to work on a science project..thing." He smiled sheeplishly.

Diana narrowed her eyes at me, as if I was her prey. I just shrugged, offering her a little smile in return. I wasn't going to let her win. Heck, I didn't even know what we were fighting for. She then put on her fake facade and turned to Andrew.

"Aw, it's no trouble sweetie. We can catch the late showing." She smiled suggestively.

That seemed to turn Andrew's knees to jelly. "Just let me grab my wallet. I'll be right back." He kissed her cheek. He then turned to me. "I'll see you tomorrow, right Em?"

I nodded. "Night Andrew."

He smiled then ran inside. I decided to try to head home without a confrontation with Diana. That dream faded as soon as she stepped in front of me. Damn.

"Listen here, man-hands. You may be Andrew's best friend, but you'll never have what we have." he crossed her arms.

"I hate to break it to you...sweetie. But, I'm not even after Andrew. Your constant 'battle' with me is in your own mind. You should work on your self esteem." I smiled, trying to walk past her.

She stepped in my way. "Wanna say that again?" She pushed me.

Without thinking, I pushed her back. That what it turned into, a push-match. Geez, is that even a thing. She soon pushed me harder, making me almost fall on my driveway. Diana smirked at me as I tried to get my stance back.

"You're so weak. You're right, though, what was I thinking? Andrew would never love you." She turned back around.

Okay, looking back on this. I realize how stupid it was for me to do this. But, once again, I wasn't thinking. At all. While she had her back turned, I moved my hands close to my body, then pushed them out, creating a big force-field/wall. The wall got to Diana, pushing her to Andrew's truck. She was stuck there, face againtist the window, muffled screams.

Oh God. What have I done?! Quickly, I released the force, making her fall onto the pavement. I ran to her, helping her skinny body up.

"Are you okay?" I asked, keeping my hand on her arm.

She yanked herself away from me, "GET OFF OF ME! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" She stepped away from me.

"I didn't do anything!" I lied, trying to keep myself from laughing. "I turned and there you were!"

"Is everything okay out here?"

Diana and I turned to see Kevin walking down my driveway. Great, just what I needed right now. Diana turned all flustered, obviously shocked by the fact a Jonas Brother was asking about her welll being.
