Chapter 20 - What if...

Lauren's P.O.V.

By the end of the game, Camz' team won. It was a little suprising but hey, they won fair and square. Camz is pretty good at softball, considering that this was her first time ever even playing the sport.

Now it's time to take her home to let her get ready for the second part of our date today. I'm excited for tonight, not only becausee of the second part of the date is tonight, but I'm also ready to take the next step in my relationship, and I can tell that Camz is too by the way she was acting before we even played our friendly game of softball.

"So where are we going now?" Camila asks while we both are getting in the car.

"Well, I'm dropping you off home and then I'm picking you back up at 6 for the second part of our date," I tell her, heading out the parking lot and driving to her house. 

"You know, I still can't believe that we won," Camila says, grinning at me.

"My team let you guys win," I counter back half-heartedly, giving a huge grin back at her.

"Oh right, yea, you guys let us win, which is why Lucy got so mad in the top of the fourth inning when Vero caught her pop fly right?" Camila sasses back, chuckling a little.

"It was all part of the act," I say, laughing at her.

"Okay Lauren, whatever you say," She says, going along with my reasoning. I lightly giggle at her, while she cranks up the radio being played in the car, singing and dancing along to it. After about 15 more minutes of driving, and jamming to the radio with Camz, I finally pulled up in her driveway. I get out of the car and run to the passenger's side just before Camila started to push the car door open.

"Why thank you," Camila says, stepping out of the car. I smile at her, before walking her up to the doorstep. "So... you'll be here at six right?" She asks, wrapping her arms around my neck and giving me a quick peck on the lips. I look back to her driveway only to see that my car was the only one parked, meaning no one else was home. 

"Yes babe, I will be here at six. I'd rather not leave though," I tell her while wrapping my arms around her waist and smiling into the kiss I'm giving her.

"Then come inside," She whispers, leaving her hot breath lingering on my lips. "This girl will be the death of me, I swear." I thought to myself.

"I'll be back at six. I love you," I tell her before taking her bottom lip in between my lips, gently biting on it.

"I love you too," She tells me. After pulling away, I peck her cheek once more before walking back to my car. "God Jauregui, you're such a tease." She whines as I'm reversing out of her driveway. As I drive near the curb in front of her house, I stop and roll down the window just before I drive off.

"You still love me though!" I yell before rolling up my window and driving down the road. Before heading home, I stopped by Alexa's house, since the whole team was there, just to see what they thought of Camila. 

While pulling up in front of Alexa's, I see the whole team hanging out in the living room through the window. "What if they don't like her? But I mean, by the way it looked, they liked playing softball with her... Maybe they were acting just to please me...." . These negative thoughts kept roaming throughout my mind as I was still seated in the driver's seat of my car.

After finally pushing my thoughts to the side, I walk up to the front door, taking a deep breath. If the girls don't like Camila, I really don't know what to do.

"Girl you know you don't have to knock. How many times have you barged in my room in the last like 6 years that I've known you?" Alexa says after opening the door.
