Chapter Four
GERMANY: SHADY BUSINESS
"Follow me." said Liuo
Maya and Hendrick both followed silently behind Liuo trying not to lose him.
"Are you scared?" whispered Hendrick.
"A little" she said sleepily.
"What's wrong?" asked Hendrick looking over at her.
"Just a little tired." she said nearly falling over.
"Hey." said Hendrick stopping to see if she was alright.
"What?" she asked sleepily.
"Get over here." said Hendrick walking toward Maya.
And picked her up and into his arms, carrying her as she fell asleep.

"Good morning, beautiful." whispered Hendrick to an asleep Maya trying to wake her up."We're here."
'Ughhhh" growled Maya slowly waking up.
When her eyes finally opened she was greeted with a big smile and a kiss on the cheek from Hendrick. Maya looked at him clearly confused on why he had just kissed her.
But before she could ask about it, a man with graying blond hair and electric blue eyes walked into the room greeting Maya and Hendrick with a warm smile."Hello, Max and Maya, my name is Hans." he said looking at both of them.
Maya and Hendrick look at each other and then looked back at Hans and said "Hello." at the same time.
"I guess your wondering how I know your names. Right?" asked Hans. "Well you see I know because I know you. You may not know me but I know you." he said answering the unasked question.
The room went silent...
Hendrick was the first to speak asking "How, how do you know us?"
"Oh don't play stupid Maxwell." said Hans looking at Hendrick
"Fine." said Hendrick in a heavy German accent
"Tell him the truth my dear."said Hans staring at Maya. Maya started to play with her hand as of Hans hadn't said a word.
"What?" said Hendrick confused on why Hans called Maya 'my dear' and what and who she had to tell the truth to.
Maya started playing with her hands and started staring directly at Hendrick.
"I lied." she said looking down at her feet.
"About?" asked Hendrick.
"Everything." she answered softly yet sadly still looking down at her feet.
"Tell him the truth my dear."said Hans
There is the 'my dear' again thought Hendrick but stayed quiet.
