Chapter Eight

THE "PLAGUE"

"You two need to leave its not safe here." said Hans

"I understand." said Maya and Hendrick. leaving the building.

When Maya suddenly falls over and lands on the rocky road.

"Maya are you alright!?" asked Hendrick worried.

"I feel dizzy." she said wobbling a little as she tried to stand.

Hendrick notices something on her face that looks like blood.

"Hey Maya look at me." he said putting her face in his hands so he can look at what's on her face, it was blood trailing from her eyes and nose and then suddenly she passed out. Hendrick quickly picked her up and walked in the direction of the tent.

Hendrick and Maya finally arrive at the tent three hours later. Hendrick walks into the tent carrying Maya.

"VENENBURG!!" yelled Hendrick. "GET IN HERE!!"

"What?" said Venenburg walking into the room, and stopped when he seen someone in Hendricks arms.

"Who's tha- Venenburg stopped talking when he seen Maya unconscious.

" What happened to her??" he asked softly mostly to himself.

"I don't know." Hendrick answered truthfully.

"Lay her on the table." said Venenburg

Hendrick did what he was told and placed Maya on top of the cold silver table.

"Sir please go get some wash cloth." said Hendrick looking down at Maya's blood streaked face.

Venenburg looked down at Maya's face and said nothing just went and got the wash cloths.

"Your going to be alright." said Hendrick to Maya, softly moving the hair from her closed eyes.

"Here." said Venenburg walking into the room and handed Hendrick the wash cloths.

"Get some water please." said Hendrick.

Venenburg again said nothing because he knew his voice would deceive him and went to get water for his hurt sister. Venenburg got into the bathroom to get the water from the faucet. When he was done he caught his reflection in the dirty mirror and saw the monster that haunted his dreams since he was five. He saw the man who tortured him and his sister for eleven years and he had to look away.

He came walking in to the main room to see Hendrick sitting on the table next to his baby sister.

"Here." he said handing Hendrick the bucket of water.

Hendrick soaked the wash cloth in the water and rang it out. Then started to clean off the dried blood off Maya's face. When suddenly she opened her eyes and blood poured out.

"Maya close your eyes." ordered Hendrick and she did as she was told and closed her eyes. and Hendrick wiped away the new and dried blood until it was all gone from her face.
