What was I going to do?I couldn't shift into my wolf, well I could but not right now, it was more difficult for half wolves-half vampires to be in control of their wolves, something I had learnt the hard way.

"What do you want?"I asked out of breath.

The vampire smiled and advanced forward, making me step back , I hadn't realised a stick on the ground which made me trip and fall hard on my back.My mouth went dry and slack as the vampire barreled closer.

There was a viscous snarl behind the vampire causing both our heads to snap in its direction.

I gasped...it was Prince Dylan!

His stance wide and defensive, he didn't look too happy with the vampire in front of him.

"Prince Dylan."the vampire said in a small voice stepping away from me, obviously surprised with his master's anger.

"You're supposed to leave with the rest of us , we're not here to start a battle, now leave before you're punished!"he shouted which surprised me, this Dylan was totally different from the one I had just seen but a few minutes ago, the other Dylan was more calm, this one was completely pissed and angry.

When I was no longer paralyzed by fear and the blood was circulating properly in my brain again I stood up from the ground to a standing position, staring at him, he was definitely even cuter up close, he wasn't looking at me however, he was too busy glaring at the next vampire as he walked off.

"Are you out of your mind?"he shouted as soon as the vampire was out of sight.

It took me a few seconds to realise it was me he was shouting at.The relief I felt after that close encounter with the vampire allowed my brains to process what he had just asked me.

"Do you realise what could of just happened to you?Do you usually put yourself in these positions?"he asked again not waiting for me to answer the first question.

Dylan stepped back, his hands dropping to his sides , now that the angry red had faded from his cheeks , he seemed to be embarrassed by his outburst.

I suddenly realised that he couldn't possibly be seeing my face at the moment, for the shadow of the tree had to be hiding my features.

Suddenly overwhelmed by the sudden urge for him to see me, I stepped forward into the light from the silvery moonlight.

I was awarded with the widening of his eyes and the sudden intake of breath, he looked purely fascinated by what he saw.The fact that he liked what he saw alone sent a shiver down my body.

The continued silence tugged on my instinct to flee but I couldn't bring my feet to move, trapped by his eyes  that held mines in a heated stare.

"What are you doing out here by yourself?"he asked more calmly this time, his voice barely a whisper.

I was startled to hear his voice again after the long silence, I was simply not prepared , my breath sucked right out from me.

Instead of looking angry, he looked quite amused at my speechless state.

Thankfully I finally found my voice."I-I...I came to see if things were going well with my father."I answered truthfully, there was no need for him to know that my father was Alpha Miles, more like I didn't want him to know, afraid that he would hate me after, but then again why should I care of what he felt?

He quirked an eyebrow at me."Where is your father now?"

I panicked for a second and I guess he realised my hesitation to answer his question as he narrowed his eyes, probably trying to figure out whether I was keeping something from him.

"He is with the other wolves."I answered truthfully, again leaving out the fact that my father was the alpha.

At the mention of the word wolves, something seemed to change as his expression hardened .

He didn't say anything , just continued to stare at me before he finally turned away from me.

"Wait—"I called, how could he leave without saying anything?

He turned around slowly, his deep blue gaze making me nervous."What is it?"he asked coldly.

"When will I see you again?"I whispered.

What was wrong with me?Surely something was wrong, why did I just ask that?Even he seemed a bit taken aback by my question for his cold stare was gone, replaced by confusion and amusement.

"Do you want to see me again?"he asked, his voice deep and husky, causing an unknown feeling to stir up inside of me.

I nodded my head, unable to answer, my mouth seemed too dry and my tongue heavy.

He grinned and I must say that it was one of the most breathtaking sights I've ever seen.

He walked closer to me and I gulped nervously. He was watching me intently , carefully. He placed his hands against the tree on either side of my head and leaned forward, forcing me to press back against it.

"Soon."he whispered into my ear, his smell disturbing my thought process and I shivered with delight. He fought back a smile , then bent his head at the base of my throat, I froze, the feelings that went through me were all alien , when his cold lips softly touched the hollow at the base of my throat I almost fainted with pleasure and had to fight back a moan.

Before I even had time to process what had happened he turned and ran off with inhuman speed.

I sighed and fell back against the tree, what just happened ?

I couldn't seem to get this ridiculous smile out of my face.I didn't understand anything, I had actually spoken to a vampire and enjoyed it!

This wasn't good, this wasn't good at all!

Despite knowing what my father's reaction would be to this or rather how insane my actions were, I realised much against my will that I wanted to see Prince Dylan again.

There was a loud howl snapping me back to reality—oh shoot!I had to get home!

..............................................................

I crept up the few steps up to the front porch and opened the door slowly, praying it didn't make too much noise.I stepped inside, quietly shutting the door behind me, as I cocked up my ears listening for any sounds. There was complete silence and I let go off a breath I had been holding , there wasn't anyone home!

It meant that dad was still out with the pack and Brad was still with Linda.

I was safe—well not entirely, I still had to go through Aunt Claudia, I wonder if she had even noticed Linda and I had left?

I soon got my answer as I spotted her sprawled out on the sofa fast asleep, I smiled and planted a soft kiss on her head before walking up to my room.

I turned the handle of my door and entered my room.

"I see you've finally reached home—"

My eyes widened and I froze on the spot. The dark room now filled with light.
