I shook my head."No, I didn't ."

I couldn't believe it, something as important as this had happened and no one bothered to inform me

Not that I should be surprised though, my father always preferred I stayed out of all this, its part of his 'plan' to keep me safe.

"Oh no, I know that look."Linda exclaimed with a worried and knowing expression on her face."You're going there aren't you?"she half questioned-half accused me.

I grinned showing the white of my teeth."You know me so well."I teased, taking one last look at the front door before I started walking off in the opposite direction.

"Aren't you coming?"I asked realising she  wasn't following me. I heard her sigh behind me before she picked up with my pace.

"The last time I went somewhere with you I had to spend an entire fifteen minutes with your brother."she scoffed.

I laughed, now that I knew they were mates I'm sure it wasn't as bad as she claimed it was.

"I don't get why you hate my brother so much."I muttered, trying to suppress my urge to smile.I was sure she just had that hatred confused with love.

She shrugged her shoulders."Do you see the guy?He is more good-looking  than any guy I've ever seen, he feels he is better than everyone, he is a control freak, totally annoying ...has too many girlfriends."she paused and then flushed probably realising she let the girlfriend thing slip.

I smirked."Why should my brother having girlfriends bother you?"I asked knowing the answer to that already. She blushed and looked down at her shoes.

"I-I..I think he is just trying to show off."she stuttered.

I felt something wet touch my skin and realised the rain was coming down.

"Great , now I'm going to get soaked."Linda complained.

I rolled my eyes at her."You know you love getting drenched in the rain as much as I do."I mumbled, which was true, we both loved the rain.

.............................................................

"Shh."I whispered to Linda, we were hiding to the side of the clubhouse where all the meetings were held, next to an open window so that we could easily eavesdrop on the conversation, which my best friend was making very hard to do at the moment, she couldn't stop talking!

"King Richard wants you to know that he is coming here for a meeting today."an unknown voice informed the group.

"Make the meeting tonight."my father interjected in a stern voice and I totally understood why he chose the night.Werewolves could only shift to their wolf form in the night here in the immortal world. If the vampires were to attack during the day we still might have a chance of winning but it wasn't as big of a chance as it was in the night.
