Five years later - I'm standing in the kitchen in front of the stove cooking oatmeal for breakfast for everyone in my household. Alex and I moved into our house four years ago because our family was becoming to large for our small apartment.

"Breakfast is ready!" I holler to my adorable family who are still upstairs dressing for their day.

A few minutes later I hear three sets of feet coming down the steps. Smiling I watch as my husband, Alex, who is carrying our two youngest children, twins, Gavin and Gabby, who are behind our two oldest daughters, Allison and Avan. Allison is four years old with long dirty blond hair and blue eyes. Avan is three years old with long auburn hair and the blues eyes I've ever seen in my life. Then our two youngest children are a year old, Gabby and Gavin. Gabby has dirty blond hair and hazel eyes and Gavin has auburn hair and blue eyes. Gavin is seven minutes older than Gabby. All four are our own biological children. Allison and Avan are mine and Gavin and Gabby are Alex's. We used our sperm with eggs from one woman's eggs from a fertility clinic and we had them implanted in a surrogate, who was my mama, she offered so we could have our own biological children even though Alex and I were willing to adopt.

"Pap-op!" Gabby hollers from Alex's arm with a toothy grin.

"My babies!" I giggle out taking her from Alex's hold to settle her in her high chair as Alex settles Gavin and the two older girls climb into their chairs at the table before grabbing their bowls of oatmeal.

"Ally and Av are you girls excited for school this morning?" I ask them as I settle in the chair next to my love as we are cross from them and the twins are on my other side.

Both of the girls bounce in their chairs a little. "Yes!" they answer together with giggles.

Leaning over to my husband, I kiss him gently on the cheek. "Good morning, my love," I whisper as I pull away from him.

"Good morning, love, thanks for breakfast," he whispers back, I hum in response.

Alex and I were married right out of high school the summer before we had went off to college. It was a small intimate wedding with my family, James and Alex's family and a few of our friends. We were married in my parent's backyard on a Saturday afternoon in July. James and Cameron stood on my side and two of Alex's best friends stood on his side. We were married by a friend of mama and moms who is a minister. Charlie was our ring bearer and Alex's little cousin, Jenny, was our flower girl. Mama and mom walked me down the aisle. Our color scheme was purple and black, purple is my favorite color and black is Alex's. We didn't wear any fancy tuxes, we just wore nice clothing. So, the love of my life and I have been married for five years now and I grow more and more in love with my husband every damn day.

I have stopped going to therapy as often as I used to, I only have to go once every three months. Alex has helped me quite a bit with my nightmares and insecurities of my childhood; I only my nightmares probably once every year. I feel safe, warm, loved and protected when Alex is around and when I'm in his arms. I know that he loves me no matter what and I him.

After the kids finished their breakfast and we wiped their faces, then sent Ally and Avan to grab their backpacks for preschool. Ally is in four year old preschool and Avan is in three year old preschool. They both love school. I work from home so I can take care of our babies but still work. I'm an editor at a book publishing company. Alex is a lawyer and he is damn sexy in his suit and in the courtroom but he's very awesome at what he does. Alex drops the girls off at preschool on his way to work and then I pick them up at noon when school ends.

I spend the morning working in the living room while Gabby and Gavin play and nap. Then when they wake up from their nap it is time to pick up the girls. Upon returning home, I make them a snack then the five of us play or do an activity together and then I do more work after the children go to bed until 9:00 p.m. then the rest of the evening I spend it with Alex.
