Don't you get it?

Chapter 7

The days  went on and Chloe finally came to terms with the fact she has feelings for her best friend. She actually came to realise she's had these feelings for a very long time. She thought about it a lot. Could beca have feelings for her? Probably not but then again why does beca act herself only around Chloe. Why is Chloe the only person who can make beca laugh the way she does. She sighed as she sat looking out the window. She was scared. Really scared. Every day she seems to be feeling more for beca, it was effecting everything. The way she acted around her, her sleep schedule, her concentration levels.. What was she going to do about this. She couldn't tell her and risk everything but she certainly doesn't want to sit and pine over her in secrecy.  When did it become so hard she thought.

Beca looked at her phone. 7.30.. fuck you birds anyway.. she sat up and silently cursed herself for leaving the window open for all the birds in the universe to sing into. Beca was one of those people who once are woken up, can not go back to sleep. She made her way downstairs to get coffee. Of course? It wasn't a normal day without coffee to prepare her for human communication. As she made her way quietly down the stairs she saw Chloe sitting on the sofa, her head facing the window. What is she doing up this early.

She admired how beautiful the sight was. The sun shone through the window and Chloe looked so peaceful. Beca wished she could see what was going through the gingers mind. Ever since Jesse's conversation with her, she's been thinking about Chloe a lot and truly thinks he's right. Beca doesn't know much about actual feelings but she knows she feels something with Chloe that's quite indescribable. She shook her head, its way too early for these thoughts.

"Hey spice" beca whispered while plopping down next to her.

Chloe turned her head fast not expecting to see the person who was currently taking up her thoughts right in front of her. "Woah bec you scared me there."

Beca laughed. Her heart melted at how soft and quiet she sounded. She wondered why she seems a little down. "Hey you okay?"

Chloe watched the concern grow on Beca's face just like that. She knew the brunette cared about her and it made her heart swell. "Yeah just some stuff on my mind, that's all."

Beca watched her play with her fingers. She's never really seen Chloe like this. Well maybe she has but not very often at all. She didn't like this. It wasn't like her. "Chlo? Look at me."

Chloe turned her head around to face her again. She didn't know why but her eyes started tearing up. Not now oh my god.. she wiped them quicky.

"Oh my god Chloe? Talk to me? What's wrong?" Beca's heart dropped. Her whole body went stiff. Seeing Chloe upset was the single most heartbreaking thing in the world.

Chloe shook her head. "No it's okay don't worry, I'm just emotional.. that time of the month" she laughed and looked away. Beca knew right away that wasn't true. She grabbed her hand. It was the right thing to do. "Chloe. Please talk to me, it's me.."

Chloe let out a small whimper. What am I doing? She couldn't control herself. And she also didn't know if she was crying because she's scared her feelings are going to get in the way of their friendship or the actual fact she has feelings for her best friend and can never tell her. "Bec honestly it's nothing." Beca shook her head. Her hand naturally went to chloe's cheek and wiped her tears. "You're really scaring me Beale, please talk to me I know you're not okay. Look who I am it's just me, just talk to me. No matter what's bothering you, you know I'm going to listen."

Why does she have to be so genuine. Ugh. She couldn't believe she left herself break down like that. But here she was and it was happening. Beca always knew what to say, so much so Chloe even considered blurting it out before reality hit her again. "It's something I'm not ready to talk about, it's nothing bad or worth you worrying about okay. When I'm ready to tell you, I will. It's just something I can't talk about you know." Chloe cursed herself for rambling and maybe saying too much. But beca seemed to take it.
