DAY 1 BACK ON SET
It was the first day back, since the week long break. I had been very busy over the short but meaningful break. Remember the word 'meaningful'. I don't want to get into what happened over break. All I wanted to do is get back to work.
"I have a boyfriend." "He can't do for you what I can." Hendrix chuckled. "Just give me a chance." I looked at him before caving in. "Fine." He looked confused. "But your boyfriend?" I packed my bag up and threw it over my shoulder. " I lied about having a boyfriend" I exited.
"CUT!" Donna yelled. "Good work, set up for the grocery store scene!" She got up. "Take a 10", "Thank you 10!" We replied.
I was drinking a bottle of water and getting my face wiped. Hendrix walked up behind me. "Good work. I really felt you." He said. I turned around and smiled. "Thank you, you did good too!" He grabbed my hands and kissed my knuckles. "So what are you doing later on tonight?". "Actually I had plans to-" Nancy walked up. "Hey guys! That last take was amazing. You both have some good chemistry." She smiled. This bitch always interrupting something. "Thank you." We both said at the same time. "Jinx!" We both said at the same time. "Was I interrupting something?" Nancy asked. Yes. "No" I replied. " I was just heading to the bathroom, before the next scene." I patted Hendrix's shoulder and headed to the bathroom.
——— HENDRIX: POV
"She's so talented." Nancy said as I watched Dani leave. She was so graceful and beautiful in every aspect. I had only known her for some weeks but I'd fallen in love with her at that Audition. "Yeah" I replied. "She really is." I noticed Nancy face faded from a smile. It became a bit awkward. "So how long have you guys known each other." She asked. "About 3 weeks." She nodded. "That's cool." I didn't know what to say. "Yeah..." I stood there until I finally couldn't take it anymore. "So I'm gonna-", "I was gonna ask if- " Our words overlapped. I laughed a bit. "Go ahead." " I was gonna ask if you wanted to grab dinner." She stared down at her heels and then back up at me. My face was blankly stuck. " I mean unless you and Danielle are a thing! In that case I'm so sorry and I feel so stupid." She sounded so nervous. "No,no,no" I quickly replied. "We aren't a thing." I really wish we were but we aren't. "But unfortunately I do have something planned tonight so... maybe next time?" I smiled and rubbed her arm before making my way back to set.
——— DANI: POV
After using the bathroom, I came back outside and headed for the set. I saw Hendrix still talking to Nancy. I felt a tiny bit of fire build up inside of me, but it quickly died down. I couldn't be mad. I knew it. I called it ... I called it.
After finishing up shooting for the day, I headed back to our trailer. " Good work today!" Our producer Kelly said to me as she walked by, I smiled as a reply. I knew Hendrix would be in the trailer before me, because his clothes were easy to get out off. I just worried that I would become the Nancy, walking in on something I had no business walking in on. I put my nervousness aside and when I got to the trailer, I took a deep breathe before opening the door. What I saw inside was unbelievable....
I saw nothing! Just him, sitting on the couch and playing the game. I was relieved yet confused. I sat my things down. "Hey." He looked over and smiled at me. He looked so cute in his little robe just chilling. "Hey, where's Nancy?" I had to ask! His face turned up. "Nancy?". "Yeah where is she?" He turned his attention back to the tv. "I don't know. Getting out of hair and makeup? Home? Her trailer?" He responded. I could tell he genuinely didn't know where she was. "Oh." I replied dryly. I walked over to the mini refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water.
"So tonight" he started. "What do you have planned for the night?" I unscrewed the bottle cap and started to drink. "Hello?" He paused the game and faced me. I turned around and leaned against the refrigerator. "You tell me." I responded flirtatiously. Bitch what are you doing? He smirked. "Now that's what I like to hear." He got up and walked towards me. "You looking good tonight." He licked his lips and took the water bottle out of my hand setting it on the refrigerator behind me. I never talked much in these situations. I never know what to say. "You hungry?" I nodded. "Ok." He turned the game off. "Let's go."
AFTER DINNER
He took me to his place and cooked for me. It was pretty damn good too! At dinner we sat and talked. Mainly about the movie and our thoughts on how things are coming together and what more we can bring to it, to make it come alive.
"Let's go for a walk." He stared into my eyes and smiled, that billion dollar smile. "Uh uhn not in these heels no." I declared. "I'll carry you until you feel like you wanna walk." He got up and held his big hands out. I grabbed them and we headed out.
We made it to the porch and he pulled me close. "Dani" I looked up at him, he caressed my arms. "Uh yeah.." he answered softly. "When we come back from our walk... you should let me eat you, like how you just did that dinner."
