Years past and I had begun to forget, that's what we do with the bad memories right? We forget. It took some time but I managed to make Morindala a distant memory. She was a beautiful memory of a past life that I will never be able to experience again. Her existence in my mind caused me pain and left a stain on my heart, so naturally my mind forced itself to forget. It forced itself to look more on the here and now then the lost past from years ago. Losing the dragon was to me, losing a parent, I hadn't even known how I came into the dragons care since I had been with her before I could remember. I decided it was better for me to not know, my real parents were to remain a mystery. I've survived years without them so why bring them into the mix now?

After I lost my dragon, Makarov became my care taker. He would go on and on when I was smaller, saying that I was the granddaughter he had always wanted but never got. After the incident with Ivan he had become increasingly worried for Laxus, who I also considered family. Though I was a few years younger than him he had enjoyed my company, Makarov was happy to see his grandson had me to console him. We would go on almost every job together but eventually Laxus and I had our own falling out, he had grown too cold and too distant for even me to talk to him. Now the only interaction I can get with him is when we accidentally bump into each other. I can still see some good in him every now in then, not in what he says but what he does.

After Laxus and I stopped talking I took missions on my own, the silence was nice and I was skilled enough to get the missions done on my own but I always missed Laxus. At the guild I would mostly sit alone at the bar, making light conversation with Mira. I suppose wasn't exactly alone, I had my exceed Ivory and one friend who I saw more like a mother. Her name was Evangeline, she was closer to Gildarts age then mine and she had developed a hopeless teenage crush on the man. Of course Gildarts was quite oblivious to her. She would always give me the best advice, weather it be about jobs or men she was always there. Makarov provided for me while Evangeline raised me.

Right now I was sitting at the bar with a drink while Ivory was eating sweets, he enjoyed sweets and pastries. Evangeline was sitting beside me while she stole glances at her not so secret love interest.

"He'll never see me." Evangeline whined from beside me. I chuckled and turned to her on the stool, patting her head after she slammed it into the bar. "I feel like I could spell it out in giant neon letters but he'd still never get it." She grumbled. I got her to sit back up then fixed her dark, red hair. Evangeline was quite beautiful, she looked more mature then most the wizards here and her face was framed perfectly by her long dark hair. It was surprising that Gildarts had never made a pass at her, not even once.

"He'll notice, not like you hide your secret crush too well." I said and she sighed.

"You wouldn't understand, everyone notices you, you're just so perfect {Y/n.}" Evangeline said then leaned back slightly to get a better look at me. I blushed slightly and looked down. "Do you have to be so loud? And I'm not perfect." I mumbled and looked around the guild, seeing she had caught some attention. She let out a scoff then turned back to the bar. The guild went back to their own business until the wooden doors of the guildhall busted open and team Natsu walked in. As soon as Natsu saw me he had a burst of energy since we both hadn't been in the guild at the same time in a while.

"{Y/N}!" He yelled and ran over, I hadn't been in the guildhall a lot recently since I had been doing so many jobs so Natsu saw me less and less. To Natsu I was his favorite sparing partner, even though I was more powerful then he was he still took every chance he had to challenge me. He ran over and picked me up off the stool, enveloping me in a strong embrace. "Ok put me down now." I laughed then fixed my clothes once he set me down.

"Surprise atta-!" He went to attack me but I cut him off by attacking him first.

"Spring dragon's blossom storm!" I called and sent a large gust of wind full with cherry blossoms at him. He flew back into a table and I laughed, the guild was now littered with blossoms and looked quite pretty. He sat up and rubbed his head, a smile on his face as he watched me laugh. "Can't get me that easily." I said between laughs. The guild watched in amusement then went back to chatting, I went over and helped Natsu out of the now broken table.
