The party that the town held was one of the best she had ever experienced. It wasn't as good as Fairy Tail's parties and events but it was up there. The party had great food, amazing music, and lots of booze. All the townsfolk had been there as well, happy they could get back to their daily lives without having to worry about the monster that lurked in the deep. Before they took care of the monster, everyone had looked miserable. Now children played along the streets and people swam in the waters along the beech next to the docks. The town was filled with laughter and celebration, all thanks to four wizards.

{Y/n} walked around the town by her lonesome, leaving the boys that had first come with her to do their own things. Natsu of course was eating, wanting to taste a bit of everything before they had to leave. She made a mental note not to disturb him since he seemed so hungry. Gray was showing some of the children how his magic worked, making things that left them in awe. Freed was socializing with some of the villagers and telling the tale of how they took down the monster in detail, maybe expanding on the parts {Y/n} was in a bit too much.

For now the young girl walked around aimlessly, eventually finding herself mobbed by children. Awkwardly she raised her hands up and smiled as they all bounced uncontrollably and asked questions. A laugh escaped her lips as she tried to calm them down.

"Alright, one at a time."

Once she said that they all quieted down and raised their hands, trying the best they could to control their excitement. {Y/n} first pointed to a young girl, she was the shortest in the group and her green eyes lit up when she was picked.

"What kind of magic do you use?" The girl asked while her small hands played with the hem of her dress. {Y/n} smiled and decided it would be better to show her over tell her. The wizard would delicately swirl her finger around, pointing straight up to the sky. The empty space in front of her finger tip was replaced by a flower. She would weave the flower flawlessly, it's pink petals soft and bright. Once she was done there was a small cloud of pollen around her, seeing that was what she used to make the flower.

{Y/n} held the flower in her palm then gave it to the young girl. The child smiled brightly and gave a small thank you before running off to show her mother the flower. Before {Y/n} could answer another question, Gray called the kids back over. He created a dragon out of ice and all the kids ran over, awestruck by the being. {Y/n} walked over and sat on the stone wall that separated the beech from the town, watching the dragon dance across the sky. Gray walked over to her and leaned against the wall beside the spot she sat.

"I owe you for what happened earlier." She said, turning her gaze to the suddenly shirtless man. Her brow furrowed for a heartbeat while she tried to remember when his shirt came off, but she intimately gave up on that thought. Instead of confusing she looked content again, seeing Gray was about to talk.

"Think we could do something together?"

"Of course." She replied.

"...Like a date?" He asked sheepishly.

In surprise her brow rose and her mouth hung open slightly while she thought about what to say next. She wouldn't say she was shocked but just caught off guard. It wasn't an unreasonable request so she hadn't seen the problem in agreeing. "Where do you want to go?" She asked.

Gray looked surprised as well for a moment when he realized she was considering it. Before he asked he was nervous but now he had gained a new boost of confidence. To think he would have a shot with her made him feel a little queasy. Too many things could go wrong and ruin their relationship but so many things could go right as well. He thought for a bit on a place they could go, eliminating the spots he knew she wouldn't like. To respond to her question he just shrugged, seeing he'd need time to plan.
