Kehlani POV

As I pulled up to the back of the building I see her. She's so beautiful, I wanted to sing a song to her or something crazy like that.

"Damn, you got here quick" says Demi getting in the car.

"I was already dressed," I say. "So you wanna get some food or something?"

"I'll take food but just for reference what was the or something part about?" says Demi.

I was messing with the radio so I wouldn't look at her. I could tell she was looking at me.

"Stop fucking with the radio," says Demi touching my hand. "Just drive us somewhere to eat."

She held my hand while I drove and we talked about music we both like.

"We should just go to the store and get snacks," says Demi. "We can sit in the car and watch the stars."

"It's like 2 more hours before the sun goes down," I say. "What will we do till then?"

"We can talk" says Demi looking at her phone. "or we can grab snacks and go to the loft."

"The loft?" I say.

"Alina went to some party and she knows I'm with you" says Demi. "She just text me, are you down?"

As much as I want to be alone with her I'm afraid. Only because I don't want to disappoint her.

"Yeah" I say.

We spent 30 minutes in the store trying to find food. We ended up getting a shit ton of random stuff.

"We look like fatties" says Demi pushing the cart.

"I don't mind being that" I say with a smile.

"Ahh I have to go to the bathroom" says Demi looking around. "You go ahead and check out. I'll meet you at the car"

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Yeah" says Demi heading towards the back of the store.

I got checked out and headed to the car to put the stuff in the trunk. Looking around to see if I could see Demi.

"Parrish" says a Voice.

I turn around to see someone I'd rather not see. Chris Gary... He used to make fun of me in school.

"How have you been?" says Chris walking over to me.

"Great" I say shutting the trunk.

"Ha that's great to see," says Chris. "Haven't seen you in school."

"I already got my diploma." I say looking around for Demi.

"Look if your still sour about me making fun of you," says Chris. "Just use it as motivation. You'll be great one day."

"What?" I say.

"You see that girl walking out of the store right now?" says Chris.

I looked over to see Demi.

"Yeah" I say with a little smile.

"One day you'll be with someone like her" says Chris. "Because she's hot... Like marriage material."

"Didn't mean to keep you waiting." says Demi putting her arms around my neck.

"Its all good." I say looking at Chris.

"So that... oh OK" says Chris putting his hands in his pockets. "I'm gonna go, it was good seeing you."

"Yeah, you too." I say. "Thanks for the motivational speech." as I get in the car.
