Kehlani POV

Haley was acting very weird. I didn't know if she had a few or what. My mind was already going crazy because Alina telling me she likes me. I was drunk and ready for bed.

"What's up?" I say sitting next to her.

"I'm gonna head to the room and shower. Are you gonna be ok?" says Alina.

"Yeah I'll be up soon" I say as Hayley throws a shot back. "You ok?"

"Yeah. Here." says Hayley sliding me some papers.

"What is this?" I say starting to read them.

"I'm sorry, Kehlani." says Hayley getting up from the bar.

The paper said Demi was found dead today.

"Wait...you can't just give this a walk the fuck away" I say grabbing her arm

"I'm sorry ok" says Hayley"I don't deal well with this type of stuff"

"What happened to her" I say"You tell me... please"

"They shot her in the head she died instantly" says Hayley looking down"Somebody named Paulo Ottoman found her"

"Can I see her" I say

"You don't wanna do that Kehlani" says Hayley"She was pretty bad"

"What do I do now huh" I say a tears start to run down my face

"I don't know ok" says Hayley"I wish I knew what to tell you...I'm sorry"

"So am I" I say reaching in my pocket"Here, thanks for the help"

"Where did you get this" says Hayley as I put a stack of money in her hands

"My dad, it yours now" I say walking past her

I know I heard her say something else but everything just got really blurry. I felt my ears ringing and people looking at me. I got in the elevator and just sat on the floor until I got to the suit. Alina was sitting on the bed when the elevator door opened. I got out of the elevator and broke down to my knees and cried.

"Lani, what's wrong" says Alina putting her arms around me

"She's not coming back" I say looking at her

"I'm sorry you had to find out that way" says Alina"She made me promise I wouldn't tell you"

"What...what are you talking about" I say backing away from her"So you knew and you didn't tell me"

"I'm sorry, I told her you would be hurt by all of this" says Alina standing up

"Are you fucking with me" I say getting in her face

"Please calm down a little, your scaring me" says Alina

"Why the fuck would I calm down when you knew she was dead and didn't tell me" I say pushing her to the ground

"What the fuck is wrong with you" says Alina holding her head"Demi isn't fucking dead...she didn't want to come back. I talked to her before dinner. I told her I wouldn't tell you"

"What the fuck is going on" I say

"I paid my friend Paulo 20 thousand to get her back" says Alina"She didn't wanna come back Kehlani"

"...I'm sorry for pushing you I just..." I say putting my hands through my hair

"It's fine I'm use to people hurting me" says Alina getting up and sitting on the bed"You have to understand, I wanted to tell you so bad"
