It has been a week since Josie and Will had been missing. No one knew where the two were or what happened to them. Josie's mom and Will's mom were both on the verge of killing whoever took their children. Both of them were tired. They hadn't slept in days and it was all because they were waiting. Waiting for calls back from the police or from anyone in Hawkins. Hoping, that their babies would return to them.

Mike, Lucas, and Dustin had worked tirelessly to look for both Will and Josie. Mike, who called Josie on her walkie talkie every night, refused to believe that both Josie and Will were missing. He couldn't believe that the girl he has been in love with was gone along with his best friend. And to think, the same day she went missing, he was telling Josie that Will was okay and that everything was going to be okay. How could he be so stupid?

He was currently sat in the kitchen, poking at his food in sadness. This was affecting him in many different ways. Will and Josie were both gone. Nothing was right anymore. Nothing felt right. How were they just going to sit here and eat like a normal family when two of his good friends are gone? One of which, was the only girl who has ever talked to him. This wasn't happening.

Sick and tired of his family being nonchalant about the whole situation, Mike spoke up, "We should be out there right now. We should be helping look for them."

His mother sighed, "We've been over this, the chief said-"

Mike cut his mother off, his face scrunching up in disgust because no one was listening to him, "I don't care what the chief said."

"Micheal-" his mother started in a daring tone.

"He's not even real police, Mom! We have to do something. Will and Josie are out there and they could be in real danger!" he protested angrily.

"All the more reason to stay put," she sighed.

"Mom-" Mike started.

"End of discussion," she demanded.

Mike rolled his eyes and groaned, poking at his food. This was all so stupid. Why hold a search party for his friends when he and his friends aren't even allowed to go? No one knew Josie and Will the way that Mike knew Josie and Will. Those two were very close to him and he wanted to look for them. It wasn't fair to him that he was stuck home doing nothing. All of those people would talk smack on Will and Josie. Will for being too sensitive and Josie for being a problematic orphan. No one who was currently out there cared for them. No one.

"So... me, Barb, and Jaylen... we're going to study for the chemistry test at Barb's house tonight. That's cool, right?" she asked her parents in a casual voice, hoping that they'd not catch what she was trying to say.

Their mother looked up from her plate and gave Nancy a look, "No, not cool."

"Why not?" Nancy asked, growing annoyed with everything.

"Why do you think? Am I speaking Chinese in this house? Until we know that both Josie and Will are okay, no one leaves," her mother explained.

"So we're under house arrest?" Nancy asked, getting upset about the fact that no one could leave the house.

"Don't be dramatic, honey," Karen sighed, looking at Nancy.

Nancy shook her head, "This is such bullshit!"

"Language," Ted told his daughter. Nancy just rolled her eyes at her father. The only time this man wants to act like a good father. Mike wanted to laugh.

"Barb lives two minutes away, just because Mike's friend got lost on his way home and Josie disappeared-"

"This is Josie and Will's fault-?!" Mike shouted, jumping in the conversation.
