Chapter 4

 Meet Janice, now instead of the curls picture her with natural plaited natural hair.

                                 

When Janice came out of the bathroom the nurses were saying goodbye to Tyler as they giggles all the way out the door. She runs into his arms and for a moment he just holds her, so tightly she couldn't even breathe. "Are you alright kitten? Does anywhere hurt?" He asks as she clutches onto him.

"Only my head but the nurses already gave me pain medication so I should be okay soon. "Come sit down, let me take a look at you." As soon as she did he starts touching her cheeks, chest, neck and hands.

"I almost had a heart attack when the nurses told me you were here and that you had crashed." He said cupping her cheeks in his hands. "They told me, I'm so sorry Ty." She cried.

"Shh, it's ok now, my aunt has been driving you for a while now, why didn't you call her if you felt you weren't ready?" He asks running his hand down her plait. "I thought I was ready. I thought I could do it. I'm sorry and now I've ruin my beautiful car." She cried.

"I don't care about the car, I just thank God you weren't badly hurt." He whispers kissing her lips softly. "How long was I out?" She asks looking around the room. "Four agonizing hours." He snort. "You've been so patient with me and I really thought I was ready....I...." "Shh, I'm just so grateful that you're okay and I'm also very grateful that- that guy came along when he did and that he didn't take advantage of you." He said taking a card from his pocket.

"Considering whom he is or who I thought he was. I was very wrong about him. When the nurse point him out to me and told me that he was the one that brought you in I almost fainted." He chuckles.

"It's not that I knew him or anything but I've seen him more than once and at one time I heard he was been investigated by the police for being involved in drugs. Not that I was surprised I always thought he looked like a drug lord and those guys he hang out with, damn, but I was glad to be wrong." He sighs heavily.

"Every time I saw him he sends chills down my spine. The man is the scariest person I've ever seen and you know my cousins so that coming from me says something." "I don't know him all that well either. I and a few ladies from church ministered to him a few times and gave him a book but beyond that....Um...What makes you think you're wrong about him." She asks in an unsure tone.

"Well for one he didn't take advantage of you. Two he insists on fixing your car for free and three when I asks him about it he swears that he wasn't a drug lord, so I guess time will tell whether he's lying or not but for right now he helped my wife so I've to be grateful for that. Are you hungry?" He asks. "Actually yes very." She said with a weak smile. "Okay come on lets go to the canteen." He said helping her to her feet.

While she was eating he called his aunt and asks her to come get Janice at the hospital and take her home so she could rest. "I need you to text me as soon as you get home okay." He said softly. "I will baby." "Good then take a long soak in the hot tub, relax your muscles and please rest. Miss Alice can take care of the kids until I get home." "I'll follow your instructions to the letter Dr. Jackson." She said with a giggle. "Good girl, I'll be home by eight." He said kissing her lips again.

It was two thirty when his mom's Silver PRADO Land cruiser came to a stop in the hospital's parking lot. And both Tyler's and Janice's jaw drops when Miss Alice steps from the driver's side of the vehicle but they hardly had time to recover from that shock as Christian who was suppose to be in England burst from the other side of the vehicle and came running over to them.

"I can't turn my back on you for one second. What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Christian blurts out one question after another. "Christian breathe, I'm fine see." She said holding out her hands and spinning around.

"Okay hold up and stop for one second, Miss Alice when did this happened?" Ty asks. "Surprise!" Miss Alice shouts. "Got my license yesterday evening. "I was going to call and tell you right away but I decide to wait and surprise you today and then I heard what happened to Miss Janice. Oh I'm so happy you're alright." She said hugging Janice.

"Your mom who is currently swamped with work was going to send one of your aunt so I thought now would be the perfect time to surprise you and I have to say, the looks on your faces was well worth the wait." She giggles. "Nice going we're very proud of you." Tyler said hugging her and Janice and Christian join in the hug. "So am I ." Christian said.

"Thank you all I'm proud of myself too. I honestly didn't see a driver's license in my future and considering what just happened to Miss Janice as of this moment I'll be your personal driver." Miss Alice said.

"That's if I'm not available of course." Christian said hands on his hips. "So now that's settled, come on let us get you home so you can rest while I feed you ice cream in bed." Christian said leading her towards the car.

"Hey just you remember whose wife she's okay, I don't to have to break you in half." Ty said in a jealous tone. "You've nothing to worry about cuz, trust me." Christian laughs. "I love you Ty." She said wrapping her arms around his waist. "Love you too kitten."

The next morning Ty enters the locker room, drops his bag in the bench and taking his phone from his pocket he dials the number the man had given him. The man answers on the second ring.

"Um....good morning this's Dr. Jackson." He said in an unsure tone. "Good morning Dr. Jackson." The man replied his accent wasn't thick but it was obvious. "Thank you again for helping my wife yesterday." "I'm glad I was there to help, how is she?" He asks.

"A little shaken up but she'll be fine. How's her car?" "A little banged up but she too will be fine." The man said with a small chuckle. "A sense of humor, I like that." Ty said with a smile. "But seriously, how badly damaged was it?"

"Just a broken head light and a dent in the front. Nothing too serious. She can have it back this afternoon." "Are you sure you don't want payment?" "I'm sure." "Okay then, thank you again. So what time can I pick it up?" Ty asks.

"Around two, if that works for you." "It does, I'll see you then and thanks again." "You're welcome." He said ending the call.

"Hey Ty, How's Janice?" One of his best friends asks entering the locker room. "Hey Jason, she's good. I told her to skip class today but she insists on going." "Well she had better be good considering I heard she was rescued by one of the sexiest man alive." Jessica adds with a laughs.

Jessica is six months pregnant with her first child and a newlywed. "Hi Jessie, how are we doing this morning?" Ty asks coming over and bending down presses his cheek to her stomach. "Good morning little one, I hope you're behaving yourself." He said to her huge belly and he felt a soft movement against his cheek.

"And I'm going to take that as a yes." He said patting her belly gently. "You okay?" He ask her. "Yeah but I'm going to miss you guys when I go home on maternity leave." She said sadly. "Don't worry we'll visit as often as we can." Ty said hugging her.

"With your hectic schedule I may not see you until my baby is about two years old." She snorts. "Hey, not fair even though you may be right but I promise to make time for you." He assures her. "Me too."Jason adds.

Ty's phone beeps and he checks it. "I'm needed in the OR." He said heading towards the door. "Hey, Valentine's night party at my house tomorrow. You and Janice be there or else." "Oooo you're as scary as a bunny in a pink tu tu." Ty said running from the room.

Jessica giggles and Jason turns and gave her the most scary frown he could come up with but that only made her giggle even more.
