Chapter 28
Four hours later Ty was standing beside the bed watching his wife and kids sleep. They have been through a lot, especially his wife. She began that morning like any other morning. She and Miss Alice drops the kids off at school and Miss Alice then took her to class. She had an encounter with one of her class mates, she had wanted to talk to him about it but he was doing hands on training so his phone was off so she called Christian instead.
After class as she usually does, she went down stairs to wait for Miss Alice but instead found herself been grabbed and forced into the back of a car, where the men gagged her and tied her hands behind her needless to say she was beyond horrified but as scared as she was she never stop praying in her mind to God to help her.
Of course she had no idea Caleb was tracking her. Hearing her retell the horror she went through almost killed him and all he could do was hold her as tightly as he could as her body trembles with the memory. And as shocked, dumbfounded and suspicious as he was that his brother was secretly tracking his wife, right now he couldn't be more grateful to him.
"Is she ok?" Caleb asks from behind him. "Define ok." Ty said with tears in his eyes. "Right, stupid question." He said and turn to leave but Ty stops him. "Hey wait, I know I've said this about a hundred times since you arrive here but we really have no idea how all this would've turned out if it wasn't for you, so again, thank you brother." Ty said hugging him.
"Sorry I didn't tell you that I was tracking her, I was afraid you would kick my ass, so..." "I know and seeing as though none of us saw this coming, I probably would have. It's tearing my heart apart that I wasn't there to protect her but I'm very grateful that you were."
"Hey, as long as I live, I'll always be here for you and your family brother." Caleb said squeezing Ty's shoulder. "I now know why you did but thanks again for bringing her." Ty said. "Thank Samson and his damn private jet." Caleb laughs. "Besides we couldn't have you quitting your training now could we, which according to Jason that was what you were just about to do before we got here."
"Yeah, but not if my kitten has anything to say about it, it amazes me just how strong this girl is." Ty said in admiration. "Gave you a stern talking to, did she?" Caleb laugh. "You can say that again, and I quote, no matter what life throws at us, I'm in no way shape or form to even consider quitting this training and she made me promise." Ty said shaking his head.
"Good, that goes for all of us, now unfortunately there's also bad news, well depending on how you look at it but the police can't seem to link the kidnapping to Edwards." Caleb said with a snort.
"How's that possible? What about that text?" Ty asks. "According to him that could've been sent by anyone and it didn't help that the number that the text came from wasn't his personal number." Caleb explains. "Of course it wasn't that would've been too easy but what I keep thinking about is, he already had Janice and didn't know you were tracking her, he had her at his mercy, so why send me that message and her photo? What was the point?" Ty asks.
"Well after you spoke to dad he called me back half an hour later, now he conclude that Edwards didn't just want to force us to take Amara back home, he also wanted to hurt you because you help take Amara from that house, now needless to say he would've killed her babies for sure and we think he was also planning on killing Janice, so if the photo didn't. Then losing your wife surely would." Caleb said.
"What the hell are we going to do about this lunatic? He's still free and planning God knows what next." Ty said in a worried tone. "Well he isn't the only one with a plan bro, what he doesn't know is that he's now on my hit list and I'm going to make his life hell." Caleb laugh.
"Brother I ...." "Relax, I'm not going to cause mom or dad any additional stress but lets just say that when I'm done with him, he's going to wish he had confessed. Now Jayden will be here before I leave tomorrow, he'll be her personal bodyguard until you say otherwise, so just relax and enjoy this time with your wife and kids, I'll see you all at Fabian's engagement party. Caleb said patting his shoulder and leaving the room.

Two nights later Caleb storms through his best friend's open door with an angry growl. "Oh boy, what now?" Alan asks slowly closing the door then turning to his very angry friend. "I'm totally fucked, that's what now!" He fumed. "Alright sit." Alan said and walks from the room. He returned moments later with two ice cold beers.
"Ok spill, did you kill Edwards and leave evidence that can lead the cops right back to you and now your poor mom is going to have a stroke when you're arrested?" Alan asks taking a sip of his beer. "I wish I had killed that prick but no, I only set him back a couple thousand by throwing a brick into his windscreen, but don't worry, I'm only getting started and it's because I don't want to give my mom a stroke why I just agreed to a double wedding." Caleb groans.
"Wait, what!?" Alan asks choking on his beer. "You heard me, my mom and dad just shoved me into a double wedding with Fabian." "And you let them?" "What the fuck was I suppose to do huh? They said that my grandparents are all flying in for Fabian's wedding and it would be unfair to asks them to do it again in a few months for mine, because they're so old and all." Caleb sighs.
"When did this happen?" Alan asks. "When I came back from Atlanta and well Maya has been on cloud nine since then and my parents, they couldn't be happier." Caleb snorts. "I mean they keep asking me if i was sure about this and I wanted more than anything to scream no but the looks on their faces, I just couldn't man, what the hell am I going to do now? The last thing I want is I get married right now. How the fuck am I to get out of this? Fake my death?" He asks raking his fingers through his hair.
"Fuck no, now that will most certainly kill your poor mother." Alan laughs. "Then what am I going to do man!" "Alright just breathe for a sec. Now tell me, do you love this girl?" "Yeah but not enough to marry her right now!" Caleb screams in frustration."
"Alright,, so how does your brother feels about sharing his day with you?" "Oh, he'll be honored. His words, not mine." Caleb said rolling his eyes. "Alright then, I guess there's only one thing you can do." "And what will that be?" "Go through with it." "What?" Caleb barked.
"Alright hear me out before you take me out. Your grandparents can't travel often because they're very old but look at it this way, your parents aren't getting any younger either and their goal is to see all their children happily married before they leave this earth."
"My parents aren't going anywhere man." Caleb said in a cold tone. "We as children all want to believe that but the reality is, we're all going to die one day, we just don't know when, where or how, now I say, give them what they want, be a good son, make them happy
"And what? Spend the rest of my life playing the happy husband?" He snorts in disgust again. "When you're home and around your parents and wife, yes, but when you're not, then your life is yours to do whatever the hell you want, screw whomever you want, and after, you pick up a bunch of red roses and go home to your wife. The women out there or the one at home, none the wiser." Alan said leaning back in the sofa.
For a few minutes Caleb said nothing, then after taking a deep breath he nods his head. "Alright then, if it's a perfect husband they all want, then a perfect husband they'll all get." He said with a wicked smirk.
