So we talked. For a while, actually. We talked about anything that came to mind. And I realised that me and Rye, we have more in common than I thought.

Rye is actually a really nice guy. He's funny and kind. We spent most of the day talking. It was, actually really nice. Just to have someone to waste away the day talking to, about nothing and everything.

But eventually it started to get dark, and I had work in the morning. It was also getting quite chilly.

"Well, I'm gonna head home now. I've got work in the morning, and it's getting cold. I'll see you later, Rye." I announced, standing up. Rye followed my action.

"Yeah, same here. I'll see you later." He smiled. The two of us walked out the park and went our separate ways.

I followed the path back to my house. Like always, I gently opened the door and slid off my shoes, carefully closing it again. I silently made my way upstairs and removed the concealer. I stripped out of my clothes and had a shower. The hot water instantly warmed up my cold body. I washed my hair and body quickly, then stepped out the shower. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around myself and walked back to my room.

I dried myself as fast as possible and changed into some joggers. I put my phone on charge and snuggled under the duvet. I was excited to get back to work tomorrow.

I woke up to my alarm, like always. I reached an arm out from the comfort of my duvet and switched it off. I groggily stood up and changed into my work clothes. I took my phone out of charge, brushed my teeth and made my way down stairs.

I quickly snatched an orange from the kitchen and walked out the house. I took my usual route down to the cafe.

I pulled the keys out my pocket and unlocked the doors. I heaved one open and walked inside. I picked up my apron and put it over my neck, tying it around my waist. I watched as George walked in. Dani has Mondays and Tuesdays off.

"Hey George." I greeted as he turned the 'closed' sign to open. George twirled and smiled at me.

"Hey Andy." He made his way over to the kitchen and I took my firs order of the day.

Later in the afternoon Rye walked into the cafe with Ben and Robbie.

"A tea and two hot chocolates." He ordered, slamming the money on the counter. I jumped a little, but turned to make the three hot drinks. I watched as Rye talked to the other two boys, who nodded at what he was saying and walked over to a table.

I quickly finished up the three drinks and put them on a tray.

"Hey, sorry I seem so demanding, but if i was like 'oh hey Andy wassup!' they would get suspicious, y'know?" Rye whispered. And I nodded, I did understand.

"I understand." Rye beamed and took his tray over to the table. I sighed.
I wish this could all change.
