I stared out the window as the car slowly backed away from the park. My phone started ringing and I frowned. It was Rye. I breathed heavily and answered it.

"Hel-"

"Please, don't leave without me. I'm on my way." He panted into the phone.

"Y-you're coming?" I stuttered.

"Of course. I can't live in this stupid town if you're not here." I smiled.

"I was really scared... I didn't want to leave without you but I had to get out and-"

"Hey babe, it's okay. We'll figure this out together. I'm not leaving you." I smiled as Mikey slowed down the car. A single tear fell down my cheek.

"We're just a little bit away from the park." I told him.

"Okay, see you in a bit babe." And he hung up. I got out the car and shivered. But the cold didn't bother me, I was too happy to care.

I noticed someone running and smiled.

"Rye!" I yelled, as he ran into the light. I ran over to him and engulfed him in a hug. His arms wrapped around my waist and he buried his head into my neck.

"I'm so glad you're coming with me." I whispered, gripping onto him.

"I'm so glad to be coming with you." He sighed. We broke apart and I intertwined our fingers as we walked to the car. I opened the back seat and Rye hopped inside. I decided to ride in the back with Rye, so I slid in next to him. I closed the door and Mikey started the car again. I rested my head on Rye's shoulder.

"Go to sleep babe, we've got a long journey ahead of us." Rye placed a kiss to the top of my head, and I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
