ring ring...

ring ring...

I paced around my room with my, still smashed, phone against my ear. I was biting anxiously at my nails as I waited for him to answer.

"Cmon Rye... please pick up." I whispered. I needed to talk to him.

"Hello?" His voice startled me.

"Rye! Can we meet up, please?" I begged.

"Uh yeah of course. Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yeah... everything is amazing." I sighed.

"Okay, meet at the duck pond?" Rye suggested.

"In ten minutes." I agreed and hung up. I shoved my phone into my pocket and quickly rushed down the stairs. I heard my father marching after me, which made me run faster. I bolted out the house and down the street.

I need to tell him, and I need to tell him now.

I rushed through the park. Rye was already there, sitting on the same bench that I found him on that fateful day.

"Rye..." I panted, placing my hands on my knees.

"Are you okay?" He asked, standing up. I nodded and straightened my back.

"What did you want to talk about?" I scanned him up and down and took in a deep breath.

"Us. I wanted to talk about us." I stated, playing with my fingers. Rye nodded.

"Well then, talk." He said, sitting back down. I sat down next to him.

"Rye, I'd love to be more than friends with you." I whispered, looking into the shallow water.

"Y-you would?" He stuttered and I nodded.

"I would." I smiled. He smiled back, and placed his hand on top of mine, intertwining our fingers. It sent a warm, tingling feeling up my arm.

"Well then, Andy Fowler. Would you like to be my boyfriend?" Rye asked. I couldn't contain the grin on my face.

"I'd love you be your boyfriend, Rye Beaumont."
