V1 Teaching A Punk A Lesson

????: WAKE UP! 

Devan head moves up quickly, he blinks his eyes slowly and he sees his arms crossed on his desk. he sighs and rests his head on his right hand and moves his left hand to his phone. he turns it on and sees the time is 4:30 am, he sighs in anger and slowly rests his phone on his desk, he sits up and looks over to Team RWBY all still sleeping. he rubs his eyes and stands up slowly, he grabs his bag of the chair and grabs his gloves, he walks to the door and grabs the handle. he stop and looks to his desk one more time and he can hear a faint laugh coming from it, he looks away and walks out of the room. he makes his way to the cafeteria and makes some breakfast and sits down at one of the tables. 

Devan: that voice... its been in my head for a damn week now. *yawns* just eat the food man.

someone taps his shoulder making him turn his head slightly, he sees Ruby waving her hand playfully at him. he gives her a confused look and pulls his phone out of his pocket, he turns it on and looks at the time. it reads 4:55, he turns around fully while sitting and gives Ruby a confused look. 

Ruby: w-what?

Devan: what are you doing up this early?

Ruby: well what, are you doing up this early? *sits down beside him* 

Devan: *turns around and looks at Ruby* I had a... how do I say it?... ok, it's hard to say. 

Ruby: try me. *shuffles closer*

Devan: for the past week I've... I-I don't know haw to say it but, I've been woken up by a voice of pure hatred... it's like the voice wants me to be awake, I-I get more angry everyday I wake up by it.  

Ruby: are you sure your not just over doing it? class has gotten harder.

Devan: *sigh* y-ya, your probably right... you should get some sleep. you go back to bed, you need more sleep then I do. you are a team leader after all.

Ruby: you may not have teammates, but you are too. just try to get some sleep too. ok?

Devan: okay, night Rubes.

Ruby: night Dev.

as Ruby walks away from me all I can do is think about that dame voice, why me? all I want is to be a good person, but that voice it pulled all the hatred from me. I'm not that person... at least I hope I'm not.

two hours later in Glynda's class Jaune is fighting Cardin while Devan is sleeping on the chare with his arms crossed beside Team RWBY and the rest of Jauns team.

 Jaune: ha, ha, ha come on! aaaaaa. 

Jaune swings down at Cardin buy Cardin moves to the left and smacked Jaune across the arena. Jaune gets up and charges at Cardin and swing down but Cardin blocks it. 

Cardin: this is the part where you lose.

Jaune: over my dead bo-

Cardin knees Jaune in the stomach Cardin takes this chance to swings down but Glynda stops him. 

Glynda: that's enough Cardin. one more swing and you would have depleted Jauns aura.

Cardin: not even worth my time. 

Glynda: ok pick someone worth your time. we have enough time for one more fight.

Cardin: hmm... him. 

Cardin points to Devan, Ruby looks at him and lightly elbows him in the arm waking him up. he turns his head and looks at the team. Yang points down to Cardin, Devan rubs his eyes and jumps down in front of him.
