*Lettie's pov* (bet you weren't expecting that!)

It was annoying that how everybody knew Phillip liked Ember and Ember liked Phillip. But they wouldn't let it work. Every time they got close one of them just pushed the other one away again. But we needed to accept that they didn't want it to happen. As I was preparing people for the dances Phillip came up to me. "Is everything alright Phillip?!" I asked worriedly. He looked dazed and tired. "Yeah....." He said as he fell to the ground. "He must have been tired!" I laughed. "Yeah!" exclaimed Tom walking up to me. Well his real name is Charles but we call him Tom.

"The poor boy. He has so much responsibility on his shoulders. It is probably a little to much for him."I said, feeling sorry for him. "And he has the situation with Ember as well." Tom added in. "Let them be" came W.D's voice. "They'll sort it out." He said and walked away again. "Oh well." said Tom sighing. "I guess they will work it out." said Tom going over to the side of the rings to watch us practice our dance. The funny thing was I never even noticed that Phillip got up from the ground. I still wanted to do something about it. Then all of a sudden I had a lightbulb moment.
I knew what to do.

*Ember's pov*

While I was walking down the stairs to tell how our plan had worked I saw Lettie and Tom talking as Tom was walking over to the side of the ring. Then Lettie looked like she just had an idea of something. "So? How did it go?" asked Anne anxiously. "It went well but you know I didn't want to do this to him." I said a bit annoyed. "Well it was for your own sake to see if he likes you back." said Anne. "But I really think I hurt him and...." I was cut off by Anne saying "it doesn't matter now." The truth was there was nothing wrong with my mother and my brother hasn't seen her since before I ran away. "But Anne there is nothing wrong with my mother!"  I said getting a bit frustrated but mostly worried. "So what?!" Anne asked.

"Really Ember,Anne?" asked W.D with shame in his voice. "Poor Phillip." tutted W.D shaking his head. He was trying to make me feel bad. "I didn't want to do it! Anne made me!" I shouted. "Excuse me?!" Anne said acting like she didn't make me do that to Phillip. "Oh come on Anne! Don't lie!" I said agitated. "Anne there's no point of trying to say you didn't I heard your whole conversation." He said simply. I turn around to see Phillip there standing in shock.

'Oh god!' I think to myself. "What's going on. Why are ye all shouting?" He asked worriedly. 'Thank god he didn't hear us!' I thought to myself. "Nothing!" I said with a fake smile plastered on my face. As soon as I said that we all walked away in different directions as quick as we could, leaving a very confused Phillip standing there staring at me walking away. I felt so bad just leaving him there confused. But I also felt so bad for not telling him the truth. Then I see him walk over to Lettie as she calls him she pulls him into a room that I can't see into. When he walks out he has a smug Look on his face and walks back up the stairs to Mr Barnum's office. I looked up to the window where Mr Barnum can look out at us from above. I saw a figure moving which was obviously Phillip. He lit three candles and grabbed his chair to sit down at the window and watch us. I had an idea to kind of get him out of his confusion. I knew my trapeze bar reached over to the window so I climbed up to the platform. Gladly he didn't see me mounting the bar. So I grabbed on and swung on my legs over to the window.

Once more my gaze was taken over by the icy blue eyes I so badly wanted.

*Phillip's pov*

As I was watching the dancers in the circus rings I was wondering where Ember was. But then I soon found out, as my blue eyes were taken over by shiny hazel eyes that I knew well. As I saw her there right in front of me I wondered how she could keep such a straight face while being upsidedown for so long. As she was staring deep into my eyes,I felt someone tap my shoulder but,I paid no attention to them.
My eyes were stuck to Ember.
As Ember had began lowering on her trapeze bar the tapping on my shoulder had become even more repetitive and more harder.

Finally as Ember's eyes were drawn out of mine I turned around to ask "What?!" with a bit of frustration in my voice. As soon as I saw it was Lettie I instantly plastered a smile on my face. "It is booked" she said with a smile. "I put them down under Mr Barnum's name so I will tell Ember that she will have to get on the carriage with all of us. Even though we are not going." "Great!" I exclaimed happily as everything was working out. She had always wanted to go to a beach which was probably only an hour's carriage ride but the lifeguards always refused to help people of her skin tone if they were in trouble. So I was hoping that this plan would work. But I needed tickets as we were eating in the dining area. The dining are had a theatre so it was kind of perfect, seeing that our theatre is under a big reconstruction.

I remembered I needed to sort out the order of the acts for the show tonight. So when Lettie left I started writing down the list of the the acts in order. Tom would finally get to be first, then the aerialists, then Anne,W.D and Ember, the rest of the acts, and then all of them singing and dancing. I knew I had a ringleaders outfit but I was not the ringleader of this circus and it would be extremely rude to take his part of his own circus. Although this job is chaos,I would never swap it for the world. I walked it the office door and down the stairs, over to the notice board. I pinned up the page and everyone came rushing over, except for Ember,Anne and W.D. They were to busy swinging and flipping around in the air. All of them were enchanting to be honest. They're skin tone complained the colour if the spotlights we put on them. Then I hear someone shout "Phillip!"

Instantly everyone thinks this was Ember but Lettie,Tom and I knew it wasn't. I would know that sweet young voice anywhere. "Hello Helen." I said as I felt two arms wrap around me. I called Anne,W.D and Ember down off their trapeze bars and hoops. They all grabbed a rope each and slid down it gracefully. Even W.D was graceful. They ran over to me and asked what I needed. "The order of the acts are on the wall." I said. "Oh thank you!" said Anne quickly and the three of them walked over to the wall to see. They nodded at each other and ran back over to go back up to the hoops. "Can I have a piggyback?" asked Helen, giggling. "Of course!" I said and I threw her onto my back. We ran around the circus and I saw Ember watching me.

Her hazel eyes staring at me once more.

A/N

Guys I don't know if I have said this already but over 500 reads on my book!! That's crazy! I can't thank you guys enough.

I have been trying to upload every day but there is a problem with my Wattpad as it says I keep needing to update the chapter before I post it and then it won't let me post it because of "internet reasons" even though I have the most bars in the house. So sorry if my posting is a little bit all over the place. But I am trying to fix it. Thanks again!

Love ya x
