Her. -A Divergent Fanfic-

Chapter 12

A/N I just wanna say thank you. I will be ending this in two more chapters ( chapter 13) and I hope y'all don't kill me for the ending. (Death) Again I'd like to say thank you for the support and for how far this went (800 reads? That's crazy!!!) Enjoy :)

The next day is almost this huge party. Eric put this needle/simulation inside us say that it was to keep track of us before we entered.

At the party every single Dauntless initiate was there. Including the trainers. And even the trainers got the simulation. Something is up. Except I don't let it bother me.

"Alice. Thought I wouldn't see you." A man says. I turn around.

"Uriah! Oh wow. I wasn't expecting you. I thought you'd be hanging out with Marlene, Lynn and Jules"

" Eh. They get boring. " I laugh

" Yeah..."

" You want me to get you a punch?"

" Um... Sure. "

I watch him as he leaves to go to the snack table. I never thought Dauntless would throw this type of party. I mean, there's music... Food.. and people dancing. Not very Dauntless.

Uriah comes back about 6 minutes later. He has two glasses of punch and hands me one.

" Sorry.. line was long. "

I laugh. " It's fine."

The party ends about 3 hours later. The initiates still sleep in the same room, and we all fall asleep around tenish. But once it hits around 5AM that's when the abnormal happens. All the Dauntless start to copy each other. They all tie their shoes at the same time, sit up at the same time. Almost if they were under mind control, or a simulation. The simulation doesn't work on the Divergents. They are hunting down Divergents.

I copy. I saw another Dauntless who started wandering around NOT doing what the non-Divergents were and was shot by Eric. That could have been me. Luckily I have common sense. The Dauntless start walking onto a train. I follow.

We get on the train. No one moves. Well, except Tris. She keeps moving from one row to another. I watch her. She stops when she gets to Tobias. Awe she likes him!! Tobias grabs her hand. Awe!! He likes her!! Focus.

The train comes to a halt. The Dauntless start to run out of the train. I find that we are in the Abnegations section.. Guns.. Divergent.. Abnegation.... They are going to kill the Abnegations. I need to stop this.  I need to find Four. I slowly start to move away from the group hoping I won't be caught. But as I start moving so do others. 

I start moving. I need to find Tobias... I start to wander. As I look around the flash backs happen. I try to blink them away but it doesn't go away. I want to scream but I can't. Before I know it I am running into people. 

" Alice?" A voice says. I turn around. 

" Tris! I say. He motions me to the corner he is hiding in. I follow.  Before I know it, a Dauntless has its gun aimed at us. Jules.

"Don't move Alice." She says. She tries to shoot him. She dodges and it hits the wall. I grab my gun and aim it right at Jules.

" No one tries to kill MY friend."  I say as I pull the trigger. She falls to the ground. Like the way you fall asleep: Slowly and then all at once. We run. We keep running.

She leads me to a safe house. " I was originally going to go here with my mom " She says. I nodd and keep walking.
