CHAPTER 4

Francesca's POV

In a matter of a few seconds I saw Soda running back down the stairs with a massive box in his hands. He was running that fast he nearly tripped at the bottom of the stairs but Darry caught him by his t-shirt just in time.

We all started laughing at him as he walked over to me with the huge box. "You're officially crazy Sodapop Curtis" I said shaking my ahead and laughing.

Soda placed the box in front of me and told me to pick out a game. Wow there were so many good ones in here.

I finally chose one about 5 minutes later. I think it was Monopoly but I'm not really sure because it had a different name. We all played for a while going through loads of board games like: monopoly, snakes and ladders, frustration and twister although I didn't play twister because Darry didn't want me to pop a stitch in my back and I didn't blame him to be fair.

It was about 11:25 pm when Soda, Pony and Darry went to bed, I curled up on the sofa with a pillow and blanket Soda tucked me under and Dally was laying in Darry's armchair with a cushion and blanket Pony gave him.

~ The next day~

I was woken up by a voice shouting "Oi sleeping beauty wake up" I'm guessing it was Steve's voice. I then felt Soda's grip pick me up bridal style and lay me down on his knee. I flickered my eyes open a little and smiled at Soda, he smiled back and said "Mornin' princess" I blushed and hurried my face into his chest. I then looked around the room to see that there was only me, Steve and Soda in here.

"Where is everyone?" I asked. "Darryl went to work, Pony, Johnny and Two are at school." Soda stated. "Doesn't Steve go to school too?" I asked them.

Steve looked at the floor and whispered "I decided to take the day off today. I haven't done my assignment for Spanish" I started to laugh at him. I then realised "you said everyone but Dally, where is he?" I was hoping he wasn't out causing any bother or anything but then Steve interrupted my thoughts.

"We went home to get you some clean clothes as you slept through the whole morning" Steve told me. I then looked at the clock and it read 1:33pm. Wow I really did sleep for a long time.

I sat up on Soda's knee and he whispered into my ear. "Hey princess you might wanna go to the bathroom" he managed to say it without Steve hearing as he went to get some cake from the fridge. I looked at him in a confused look and then I stood up and realised the red patch on Soda's knee.

'Noooo' I thought to myself. I ran up the stairs embarrassed and ran straight to the bathroom. How could this happen to me. I heard Soda come upstairs to change his pants. This is the most embarrassing situation ever, now I just had to wait for Dally to come back with my clean clothes as I have a massive red patch on these ones.

I hate being the only girl here, I swear my period wasn't supposed to come for another week or so. I then heard someone knock on the door. I started to panic until they spoke "hey Princess don't panic, I have your clothes that Dally brought for you here. I'll just leave them here outside the door and make sure no one comes upstairs when you're getting them" Thank goodness it was only Soda. I hope he doesn't tell anyone what happened, that would be so embarrassing, not that it isn't embarrassing that I bled on his fricken knee anyway!

Once I heard he had gone downstairs I quickly grabbed my clean clothes which were some dark denim shorts and a crop top with my red converse. Then I put my other clothes in a bag that Dally brought my clean clothes in and walked downstairs to see Soda, Steve and Dally.

I walked up to Soda and pulled him in the kitchen. "I'm so sorry Soda..." I began before he interrupted me, "hey it's fine, it's not your fault" he told me. He then gave me $3 to go to the store to buy some stuff.

I walked back in the room and told Dally I was going to the store. He didn't trust me to go alone so he insisted on driving me there. He asked what I was going for so I just said I wanted some chocolate, which wasn't totally lying but I wasn't gonna tell him anything else.

Once we had been to the store we went back to the Curtis house and I grabbed the grocery bag and ran upstairs. I was thinking thank god they didn't get suspicious.

I walked back down stairs feeling all fresh now and Dally cocked an eyebrow at me. "Why did you run through the house like you were running away from some Soc?" Dally asked me. "I was just bursting for the toilet" I snapped, I didn't mean to but Dally raised his voice. " I was only asking you, no need to snap like that young lady" he started. I then felt horrible for snapping at him and just whispered "sorry" then went to sit on the sofa while watching the 3 guys play some card game.

Around 4pm Pony, Johnny and Two-but walked through the door with their school stuff. They looked tired to be honest. I just laughed as I sat up straight on the couch.

"What's so funny" I heard Pony day as he flopped down on the sofa beside me. "Just the fact you all look like you've been on a 5 hour run and look knackered" I giggled.

Two-bit then walked over to me and threw me over his shoulder and placed me on the floor where he then started to tickle me. "H-help!" I shouted. Dally, Soda, Steve, Johnny and Pony were all day there watching Two-but tickle me.

"S-soda help!" I started, Soda walked over to us and started helping tickle me. "I m-meant, h-help me get u-up you imbecile" I shouted before I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.

"STOP!" Shouted Soda to make Two-bit stop tickling. He could obviously tell I couldn't breathe. He picked me up and took me to Dally who held me bridal style whilst hovering my inhaler over my face, squirting it so it would help me breathe again.

I felt weak and horrible that Two felt like he had hurt me. I finally came round and went to sit next to Soda on the sofa. He picked me up and sat me on his knee, I though why the hell is he doing this after what happened this morning. He just shrugged it off when I gave him a confused look and started watching the TV when Darry came in.

Two-bit still felt really bad so I just shouted "Oi Two, don't worry about it, I'm fine now" he then had a smile on his face and he nodded his head before looking back at the TV. Darryl walked towards the kitchen but stopped half way there "why is there inhalers all I've my floor?" He asked with both confusion and worry in his eyes. "Well you see I have asthma and these idiots couldn't figure out which inhaler I needed so they got all 6 of the different ones from my bag" I told Darry before he nodded and walked into the kitchen.

I looked at the clock and it read 9:36 pm. "We have to go home now Frankie" Dally said with a soft voice. I tried to stand up from Soda's lap but he gripped on to me harder as if to say I'm not allowed to go.

"Do you have to leave me?" Soda whispered into my ear. " Sorry Soda but I'll be back first thing tomorrow, promise" I reassured him. He quickly kissed my ear and cheek while no one was looking and said he'll see me tomorrow.

I jumped up and shouted "c ya later people" while ruffling Steve's hair and running out the door. If there's one thing that annoys greaser's more than Soc's, it's touching their hair. I ran outside away from Steve, thank God Dally brought his car because I really can't be bothered walking right now. I jumped in the passenger seat of the car and locked the doors behind me so Steve couldn't get to me. Dally then walked outside and told Steve to behave himself, Steve walked back inside as Dally got into the car and drove off home.
