Empire State Of Mind

A few Days Later - 

We chose our venue to be the Skyline Hotel in New York. The date was set for November 4th. The day my father died. I was lost in thought when suddenly a knock on the front door interrupted me. I answered it.

“Hey Tay, you ready?” I asked. She nodded. Alex stopped me before I closed the door behind Tay and I.

“Hey where you going?” He asked grabbing me behind my waist.

“Picking out invite designs and going to see your mom and dad.”

“Can I come?” He looked at me. I shrugged. “Do you wanna go alone with Tay?” I shrugged again. “Well, keep your phone on and everything, okay?” I nodded.

“Okay Alex,” I smiled before kissing him. 

We finally got to Alex’s mom and dad’s house. Isabella embraced Tay and I in a hug before letting us come in. We sat down on the couch in the lounge. Peter came in shortly after and I gave him a hug. 

“Okay well, I’m not sure how to ask really but,” I sighed. “Seeming as my, you know, passed away,” my voice started breaking up and tears rolled down my cheeks.

“Hold on, he proposed?” Isabella asked amazed. I nodded and smiled. “Oh my God, let me see the ring!” I held out my left hand and she gasped before complementing me on the ring. 

“Anyway, the date is November the 4th, they’ll send you an invite and everything but Alice was wondering,” Tay began. She let me ask though.

“I was wondering if maybe you’d give me away at the wedding?” I asked looking at Peter.

“I’d be honored Alice.” He smiled before hugging me.

“Have you chosen everything?” Isabella asked.

“I think so venue, bridesmaid’s dresses, tuxedos, venue, bands, invites, catering and dress.” Tay responded.

“We’re actually just going to pick up the tuxedo’s and dresses now, including mine,” I smiled “Want to come?” 

“Sure!” Isabella and Peter chorused. I smiled and we all piled back into the care before setting off.

Sorry this chapter is so short however the next chapter jumps all the way to the wedding (just a heads up) and I think you guys'll like it :)
