Forget About It

We got to the hotel and luckily we weren’t swarmed by fans. We got into our rooms and I looked to see if they had a dance studio; they did! Alex, Jack, Rian and Zack were arguing over rooms so I slipped into the bathroom to put on some black footless tights and a black leotard then put my Nivarna top and dark blue jeans on over the top. When I was finished they were still arguing. I grabbed my phone, made sure I had a room key and then slipped away.

It took me a while until I found the dance studio but eventually I found it. I took off my jeans and top then tried to find somewhere that I could plug in my iPhone so that it could play through the speakers. When I finally found what I was looking for, I chose ‘Stella’ by All Time Low to play. When ‘Nothing Personal’ was released, I put a dance to ‘Stella’ for a dance class I used to teach. I had no trouble re-calling it from my memory. I repeated this routine several times before changing the song onto ‘Therapy’. I had the best guy in the world as a dance partner for this song, but where is he?

“Looking for me?” Alex said smiling at the doorway. He came over and we slow danced. I love him so much! At the end of ‘Therapy’ I ran to my iPhone to change the song to ‘Californication’ by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I had no trouble re-calling the routine to that song either!

Then I played ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’ by Green Day. I had put a ballet routine to that. At around the second verse, Jack, Zack and Rian came in. I knew I was going to get yelled at! I carried on dancing though. When I was in High-School I had to put a ballet routine to a slowish, sweet song. I chose ‘Good Riddance’. I worked so hard on the routine and then when it came to performing I went too far. Zack, our mom, our dad, Jack, Rian and Alex were there.

It was the part of the song where you can only hear the acoustic guitar and the violins playing, so I guess it was sort of like the guitar solo. I was dancing perfectly fine until crack! I fell to the floor of the stage. Blood was pouring out from an injury I had on my foot from ‘over-working’ myself in-order to put together the routine. By the time I had turned completely white from looking at the amount of blood, Zack had jumped onto the stage. He scooped me up into is arms and looked down at my pale face with tears streaming rom his eyes.

He ran as fast as he could to his car, spread me across the backseat and then drove as fast as he could to the hospital. When we got there, I was seen to almost straight away. I had an x-ray after about 10 minutes and I had a broken ankle. My mom, dad and Zack were crying because they didn’t like seeing me in pain. I was more upset that I couldn’t dance. Ever since then Zack has been very harsh about me doing ballet and I knew when he saw me doing that same routine he’d freak.

“Alice! What the fuck are you doing?! You’ll break you’re ankle again!” Zack yelled when he realized. I ignored him. The violins kicked in, the sound of Billie Joe’s voice stopped and it was the part of the routine I was dreading. I was determined to do it. I stood on the points of my ballet shoes and started spinning then stepping the jumping landing on point again. Zack wasn’t looking; Alex was looking worried. I made the final jump, the jump that previously broke my ankle. I jumped and span several times in the air before landing on the points of my shoes.

I was waiting for the crack, the fall, the blood, but nothing. I had landed perfectly. I was so overwhelmed with joy but I finished the routine before jumping into Alex’s arms and him congratulating me. Zack was standing starstruck. I think he was just as overwhelmed as I was! After jumping down from Alex’s arms, I ran over to my brother and hugged him.

“I’m proud of you lil’ sis!” Zack whispered into my ear. I smiled and he squeezed me tighter.

“Anyway, what are we going to do about the little incident on the plane?” He then questioned me.

“God Zack! Just forget about it! Seriously! It was just an allergic reaction.” I replied letting go of him and choosing a different track. I chose ‘Ritual’ by Black Veil Brides and started to dance.

“Yeah, it’s not like you could have died or anything Alice!” Zack replied. I shrugged and continued dancing. I saw Alex beginning to look sad again. I ran over to him and gave him a hug as he began to cry again softly.

“I don’t want to be reminded of how I almost lost you,” Alex whispered in my ear gasping for air every few words.

“Guys could you give us a minute?” I asked them still hugging Alex. They nodded and exited the studio. Alex’s cries began to get louder.

“Alex? Alex? Look at me honey,” I said to him. He looked at me like a wounded puppy. “I promise I won’t EVER leave you. EVER. Okay?” He nodded and then pulled me into a hug.

“I don’t want to lose you, you mean too much.” He said as he calmed down.

I danced for a bit longer until he was fully calm then we went to our room. I grabbed my iPhone, my top and jeans then we walked hand-in-hand to our room. Before I got the room card out of my back pocket, Alex pulled me into a long kiss right outside the door.

“I was gonna give you it earlier but I was too upset.” He said when he broke away. I smiled then unlocked the room and entered.

“Please, can we forget what happened on the plane?” I asked Alex.

“Of course, I don’t want to be reminded of it either!” Alex replied. I gave Alex a kiss on the cheek and then got changed from my dance clothes into my Nivarna top and black jeans.

“So are you going to be coming out from backstage for the meet and greet or onstage baby?” Alex asked as he put his arms around my waist once I was dressed.

“Oh, I don’t know. Depends what the fans are like. I’m sick of some of the fans on twitter saying that I’ll probably end up hurting you, because I won’t! I love you...”

“I know you do Alice! Just ignore them! Anyway you have to come out for the last Cambridge show!” Alex said pulling me closer.

“Why? Oh yeah! The doctor’s granddaughter will be there. Fine for that one I’ll defiantly be there for the meet and greet AND come onstage.” I replied smiling.

Alex also smiled and then pulled me into a kiss. We then went over to Jack’s room.

“Dude what the fuck?” We heard Jack’s voice before we knocked on the door. “It’s open, but prepare for war Alex! We got shit loads of burrito’s and we’re NOT afraid to use ‘em!” Jack said again. We entered to see a grinning Jack. Zack and Rian were on the floor covered in burrito’s laughing.

“DIE!” Jack yelled holding up a burrito. Alex grabbed my hand and smiled at me.

“Wait, wait, wait wait. Guys, you guys look awful,” Alex said then ran with me down the corridor, down the stairs and into the lobby.

“Oh you guys are gonna get it now.” We heard Rian’s voice behind us, but we kept running and laughing. We ran outside to the pool and jumped in.

“You guys are insane!” Zack said coming to a sharp stop at the edge of the pool followed by Rian but Jack he kept running and jumped in too.

“We know,” I said. I grabbed the dripping wet burrito Jack had in his hand still and threw it into Alex’s hair.

“Oh you’re dead now!” Alex said playfully.

I swam as fast as I could and then yelled out to them all.

“Come get me bitches!” Then swam off again laughing.
