Lumine's POV

My tail wagged in excitement to see him. I wonder why he wanted to talk to me privately. Maybe he likes me too!

I finally reach him and smile. But, that smile faded quickly when I saw him. He scowled at me, a angry look on his face when he saw me.

"You wanted to se-"

Slap!

"Do you really think someone will love you?! You're nothing but a disgraceful werewolf! I know you're gay and useless!"

Another hard slap went across my face, burning with pain. Pain shot up my stomach as he continued to hit me. I dropped down to the ground with a thud.

"You thought I actually liked you back? Ha! Pathetic werewolf. I'm not gay! That's a sin, you homosexual."

He kept beating me until he were satisfied and left me there. I cried while laying in a small pool of blood, bruised and scarred.

"W-why do people h-hate me so much?"

His smile that used to warm my heart.

His joyful laugh that used to brighten my day.

His silky hair that used to make me dream.

His cold heart that made me cry.

Why? Why do people hate me?

For falling in with someone?

"....ine.....umINE..... LUMINE!!"

My eyes snap open as someone was shaking my shoulders quickly. My eyes focus and see Kody with his hands on my arms as he shakes me awake. I blinked rapidly and rub my eyes with one hand. My face felt wet. I removed my hands from my face, my hands slightly covered in tears.

Kody sighed, a cute frown on his face. "School's over, Lumine. You overslept. Come on, let's go home."

He rises from the ground and offers a helping hand. I grabbed his hand and lifted myself from the ground. But, that went horribly. My legs were wobbly and uneasy. I ended up falling back down on the ground, bringing Kody down with me. He fell on top of me, his hands laid out to stop him from falling on me. I feel the heat rise to my cheeks, looking up at Kody. A surprised look was on his face as he looked down at me.We stay like that for a few minutes, shocked as to what happened. Then, Kody got up on to his knees giving me enough space to sit up.

"Umm," I stuttered. "S-sorry Kody."

Kody scratched the back of his neck. "I-it's fine, Lumine. Let's just go home." He gets up and helps me up. My legs shook a bit, but eventually I managed to stand up correctly. Kody grabs his backpack on the ground. I notice a couple of faded lines across Kody's wrist and hand as he reached for his backpack. We started to walk home, a gentle breeze passing by us.

Strange. I'll ask him about the lines later.

It turns out that there isn't really anything wrong with me! I just had anxiety for the past week. I still have anxiety but Its getting better. It's sort of a coincidence (I think that's how you spell it) that last week was the first week since my boyfriend and I started dating. It's strange huh?
