Chapter 4

I get home from school exhausted but quite pleased. Today was kinda fun.

"Hey darling." Mum says as I sit down at the breakfast bar. "How was your day?'

'Alright, where is Jay?" I ask while reaching for an Apple.

"Oh! Well Jean popped in this morning on her way to visit her niece and her kids. Jean thought it would be fun to take Journey on a play date seeing as he is around the same age as her nieces kids."

"Mum!! Why the hell am I only just hearing about this?" I hate it when she does this! She always decides things for Journey when she has not passed it by me first.

"Well I didn't think it was that big of a deal." Mum defends. I sigh, I guess its not.

"It's not. Just please, next time, atleast call me." A silence falls on the kitchen, the only sound is the crunch of me eating my apple. "I have homework to do."

I go upstairs and begin my truck load of homework. Seriously I'm probably going to need a trailer to transport all of it to school. And the shit thing is I wouldn't have it if it weren't for Elly. She dragged me along to the rest of my classes today. Then again I didn't protest much...

As I work I put my phone on the iPod dock and let everything but my work fall away.....

Two hours later

"Ahem." A throat clears behind me. To my surprise it's Elly and Jay.

I quickly run to my baby and spin him in the air. Elly giggles at my antics.

"Oh. Hi." I smile at Elly then give Jay another cuddle.

"You're so cute." Elly squeals.

"He is isn't he?" I gush squeezing Jay a lil more. His hair seems abit more tame today than usual. It's slicked back so you can see his face more clearly.

"Yeah....him too." I blush in understanding. She wasn't referring to Jay.

I go to the corner of my very big room to where Jay's play pen is and sit him down. He immediately goes for his half chewed teddy called Murphy.

"So......" Elly says

"So...." I sit back on my desk chair and motion for her to take a seat on the sofa next to Jay's play pen.

Instead of following my directions she dives headfirst onto my bed, wriggling around to get comfortable.

"Make yourself at home." I mumble once she's finished moving.

"You can join me if you want?" She sends a flirtatious wink my way leaving me dumbfounded.

"I don't think you should do stuff like that to me."

"Do what?"

"You know, flirt and stuff..."

"Why not?" Her eyebrows crinkle and she scrunches up her nose slightly. It looks pretty cute.

"Well because....." I trail off not really sure how to finish it.

"Because....."

"Because I'm a lesbian." I blurt out.
