"This is the place, right, Rob?" Brad asked when they got to a hotel in a small city. It was smaller than ones they were used to seeing, but it didn't really matter. They were only staying there for a night and it's better than sleeping out in the open.
"Yep." Rob said, walking. "Those two told me this is were they worked and if we ever need a place to stay, they'll give us a room for free." He smiled. "I don't even know why they live or work here. They used to live in Ohio... Actually they still do during the summer, but they come back for the rest of the year and rejoin the hotel staff."
"Ohio?" Brad ask in disbelief. "They need to go back home. It's probably really strange for them to be here in the west instead of out east, right?"
"They've been doing it for years. And they always come back because they're trying to have a music career. But none of that matters. We're here for a room, Braddels." Rob patted him on the shoulder with a big grin on his face.
Mike started giggling from the nickname, knowing Rob did that to annoy the curly, dark haired man until Brad looked back at him with a death glare.
"Don't call me that."
Rob ignored Brad and said, "Just have to find them first and we got ourselves a free room."
"HEY! ROB!" A guy shouted from behind the lobby counter and waved over for them to come over. He was a young man, with short, brown hair and a cheesy smile. The other guy wasn't anywhere to be seen.
"That would be them." Rob said and all three of them walked over to the counter. "Yo, Tyler. Where's Josh?"
"Oh, he's somewhere around here. Probably in the kitchen helping cook. Either way, what brings you here? You need some place to stay? You all look exhausted... And one of ya's passed out." He said pointing to Chester.
"Yeah, it's been a rough few days." Mike commented, holding onto Chester a bit closer.
"Really, so you guys are here for a room?"
Rob nodded. "I remembered you said if we ever needed a room to come here, and we just happened to be close by, so..."
Tyler nodded then looked around. Rob guessed it was for the manager, that way he wouldn't get in trouble. "Yeah, you can have one." He got a key off a key holder behind him. "MS-02-11, that should work for all four people. It's a three bedroom suite, so two people will have to share, but that shouldn't be a problem from what I'm assuming."
"Yeah, it won't." Rob smiled while taking the key. "Thanks, we owe ya one." They walked off afterwards and went up to the floor. It took them a good thirty minutes because they kept getting off at the wrong floor and the elevator would broke down on them for a few minutes.
They all sat down once they made it into the room. Rob sat on a recliner, Brad laid on the couch and Mike sat down on the love seat with Chester on his lap. The older man was still sleeping peacefully, which was good in Mike's opinion. The longer he slept, the more cooperative he might've been once he woke up. That's what Mike was hoping.
"When will Dave and Joe get here?" Mike asked. He needed to know this, that way he could get some kind of clue as to whether or not they'll be able to leave first thing in the morning.
"I texted Dave earlier and told them were we were going." Rob explained. "They should be here in about an hour of so."
"Good, now what do you two think we should do about Ch..." Mike was about ask but was stop when Chester started moving a bit. The older man was finally waking up after being asleep a while.
His eyes fluttered open and he took a moment to look around and see where they there. A living room inside a hotel room with beige walls, cream carpet and brown furniture. He yawned and looked up at Mike, squeezing his shoulders. "How long have I been asleep?" Chester asked, not bothering to really change his sitting position.
