"You remember the plan, Chester?"

"Walk in, sssit down, wait for the ssignal then destroy everyone in here."

They walked into the small diner that was in front of them. Everyone in this area of the town came here around this time. They sat at a table close to the door. Chester looked outside the window, looking off to the distance.

A waiter came up to their table. Mike looked at the name tag. 'BRENDON' in big bold letters. Good, just the guy we needed.

"Good morning. I'm Brendon, your waiter for this morning. What would you two like to drink?" He asked with a smile, pulling out a pen and notepad.

"Coffee would be nice." Chester mumbled.

"Coffee for the one looking out the window." Brendon pointed at Chester with the pen before writing down the order. "And you, sir?" He asked turning towards the half-asain.

"Coffee for me, too. I need all the energy I can get today." Mike told him.

"So two coffees. Got it. I'll be back with your coffee in a jiff. Until then, care to take a look at the menu. We have great choices. I would go for the pancakes." He left afterwards, heading towards the kitchen. Mike pulled out the menu, curious what they had as breakfast options, and got concerned when he saw a breakfast choice. The first breakfast choice was nails. Why am I always going to the fucked up place? Mike asked himself, thinking back to the hotel room they stayed at last night with Mindy the spider and closet kitties.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Chester asked Mike, trying not to extend the s sound when it came out.

"Yes, it has to happen, Chester. I've been waiting too long and I don't want all that work to be for nothing." Mike mumbled so no one but Chester could hear. Chester turned his attention towards Mike. Green snake eyes meeting dark brown human ones. "You have the guns right?"

"They're in my pocket." Chester said while pointing to the inside pockets on his black leather jacket. "You should know I wassn't gonna leave them behind. I'm not stupid."

Mike smiled from that comment and looked around. Everyone in the room were the people who used to pick on Chester when he went to school here. They used to push him around and beat him up for being different. Mike remembered Brad telling him about when he first met Chester back when all the guys were still teenagers after the day of Brad's birthday party.

"I remember that the teacher made him get up and introduce himself. He was terrified to go up and talk in front of everyone. Shaking, stuttering... it looked like he was about to cry too." Brad had told him. "I thought he was just nervous, but then I noticed that he looked bruised in various places and that he flinched whenever someone tried to touch him. I decided to get to know him better and we became friends."

That was when Mike decided he wanted to help Chester, and the fact that they were already into each other made it easier for Mike to become part of Chester's life and get what he wanted. He just wanted Chester to feel safe instead of being scared of everyone. No want for murder was there until later on when more things happened to his lovely boyfriend.

Brendon came back to the table, two cups of coffee in hand. "Have you boys decided what you want? Or do you need a few minutes?"

Mike looked over at Chester, who gave an approving nod, then back at their waiter. "Chester needs a few more minutes, but I would like those pancakes you were talking about."

"Chocolate chip or regular?"

"Regular."

Brendon smirked and said, "Coming right up." He winked at Mike then left for the kitchen again.
