[EDITED]

She was watching her dad from a distance. He looked really happy, she wasn't. She had felt lonely for a long time. But seeing her dad was at least something, though all she longed for was a hug.

In de split-second, a girl stood behind Alice with an arrow pointing at her head. 'Don't move, spy' the girl said sharply, trying to keep up her confidence. But Alice wasn't born yesterday, and she started running. It was hard finding her way as these woods were unknown to her. After accidentally tripping over something, she fell to the ground and a cage locked her up. The girl, who had been following her, finally was able to catch up with the quick Alice. 'Who are you? Who sent you!' she demanded.

'Nobody sent me. I just wanted to see my papa,' Alice said honestly.

'Then why are you lurking?'

'Because his heart is poisoned. If I got any closer, he'd die.'

'You're Alice, Nook's kid,' the girl noticed, and she put her bow and arrows down, knowing that this girl wasn't a danger to them.

'Nook?' Alice didn't understand. The girl tried to explain it, but it became awkward between them. 'Anyway, I'm Robin,' she said. 'Nice to meet you, Robin.' A smile appeared on Alice's face as she got her freedom back.

The troll was up ahead and after hearing it, Robin was more convinced to kill it. But Alice recognized the sound and told her that it wasn't a dangerous one. That it was her friend. Robin ignored her and went to the café, where there were men that had the desire to kill the troll as well. Thinking she could team up with them, she soon realized that these dicks weren't her kind of people. And yes, the moment Alice spoke up, they were both being locked up in a prison because they seemed to be friends with the troll. The more time the two young women spent together, the less Robin wanted anything to do with Alice.

Luckily, Robin didn't leave her cell phone behind. She showed it to Alice, who was mesmerized by the whole thing. After showing her Emma's Yellow Bug, she said, 'You're life trapped in this tiny little box? I thought I was in a prison.' Robin couldn't help but laugh. This girl really didn't know much about the world.

Though they were tied up, nothing could keep Robin in a prison. As she was holding up her dad's legacy, she knew how to get out of the ropes and open the prison door with one of her hair pins.

'Do me now!' Alice was surprised by Robin's skills.

'Sorry, Towergirl. I can't have you there stopping me from doing what my dad wanted me to do.' Robin had left the prisons behind her with only a small ounce of regret. That girl had been imprisoned her entire life and she still had the guts to leave her in another one. But she put it out of her head pretty quickly, because she had found the group of men that were about to kill the troll. 'How did you...' one of the men started and Robin laughed. 'You really thought you could keep me locked up.'

'And now you're here, what, to prove you're one of us. You've got one shot.'

Slowly, Robin took one of her arrows and placed it on her bow. She tried to calm herself down by repeating the words I've got this in her head. Her hands started shaking a bit, but it didn't matter. She was Robin Hood. She could do this! The troll came in sight and all she had to do was let go of the arrow now and it would fly straight into its eye. But just as she was about to do that, Alice jumped her, and the arrow missed its target. With a grunt, Robin fell on the ground, feeling the headache already. 'Are you crazy? That arrow was going straight to its eye!' she screamed angry.

'You can't kill him, he's my friend,' Alice repeated for the hundredth time that day.

'Take that girl. She's trouble,' the leader of the group said.

'Back off,' Robin stepped forward with an arrow close to the man's head. One little move and he'd be as dead as the troll was supposed to be. But the man was smarter and more skilled than she was and he took the bow from her only to point it back at her. The group of men closed in on them and there was no way to escape. Alice felt Robin's back against her and they found each other's hand, knowing that the worst was happening right now. In a short moment, the Yellow Bug suddenly appeared, making the men jump out of the way, screaming in fear.

'Is that...' Alice started.

'The Yellow Bug!' Robin laughed. They let go of each other and she yelled, 'Let's go!' They got into the car and Robin drove away as fast as she could.

I'm finally done rewriting the first chapter. I hope it turned out better than it was before. I decided to write in a general pov from the beginning, so it might be strange if you read this before I'm done editing the whole book, but it is what it is. Have a nice day <3
