Chapter 3

Meanwhile in London...

[Harry's house, London, 11:00 PM]

Harry: (leaning against the bar, talking with Liam and Niall) "Well boys, that's it! We officially have some time off. No gigs, no press, just us hanging out in New York!"

Liam: (raising his glass) "I'll drink to that mate! I love New York!"

Niall: (crashing his glass into Liam's and Harry's) "Fuck yeah!" (all laughing as their beers spill all over the floor).

Harry: (too excited to worry about the mess they just made) "Make sure your stuff is packed, we leave in the morning!" (pushes off of the bar to head upstairs to his room. Waves goodnight).

[New York, Apartment Complex, 6:00 PM]

Anna: (making her way up the stairs to her apartment, starts fumbling through her purse to find her keys when the door flies open, Anna startles) "Jesus Christ! You scared the shit out of me!" (clutching her chest) "What is wrong?"

Olivia: (standing at the door, visibly angry) "I told you to text me when you got there, and you couldn't even do that! You didn't call or text saying you were on your way home either! Why the hell would you do that to me? I've been worried sick! Then when I try to be responsible and get a hold of you, you don't answer!"

Anna: (looks down at her feet in shame) "I know I know I know! I should have called or texted. I'm really sorry. I just got so caught up with meeting Jade and--I'm sorry. (Trying to ease the tension) At least I'm not dead!" (chuckles nervously).

Olivia: "Don't even try to make jokes right now. I am so mad at you!" (Louis comes out of his room to see what all the yelling is about)

Anna: (pushing inside the apartment) "Okay, I won't make jokes, but at least let me explain what is going on. Come on, come sit on the couch with me and I'll tell you everything." (Grabs Olivia's hand and pulls her to the couch, waves Louis over)

Olivia: (reluctantly lets Anna drag her to the couch, pouting her lips) "Fine but I don't forgive you just yet."

Louis: (following them to the couch, flopping down dramatically) "You're such a little shit Anna. We were really worried. So please do explain why you couldn't complete the simple task of texting one of us to let us know that you were okay?" (Lazily looking at his nails, his tone laced with disdain).

Anna: (sighs) "I know you guys are disappointed and pissed that I didn't text. But you're going to understand why when I tell you what happened at Jade's."

Louis: "Well get on with it then!"

Anna: "Okay okay! So basically, I get there and Jade tells me that she doesn't have the potion ready nor does she have the ingredients to make it! And I started freaking out because I came all that way for nothing! Then Jade tells me that she can't get the ingredients herself because she is some sort of magical woman that keeps herself young by drinking a rejuvenating potion but her body still feels old! So she literally cannot endure travel!" (Out of breath from talking so fast) "So...if I want the potion I have to go get the ingredients myself using this list she gave me" (pulls out the list and waves it around)

Olivia: (looks at Anna with wide eyes and then looks at Louis.) "Well then let me see it" (snatches the list from Anna's hands. Louis leans in to look too, their eyes scanning the paper). "Woah this is actually real. I can't believe this is real!" (shaking her head)

Anna: "What did you think I was lying? I told you I'm not crazy!

Louis: "We-okay yeah we kinda thought you were crazy" (shrugging, playing it off)

Olivia: (apologetically)"Yeah, sorry Anna, we did think you were a bit bonkers but now I see that this is very much real. Holy crap. So what are you gonna do?"

Anna: (hopefully) "Well, I was hoping that you guys would come along and help me to get all the ingredients. Jade told me that the people I meet and the places I go might be a bit challenging."

Louis: "I don't know about Olivia over here, but I'm not passing up an opportunity to go on an adventure!" (Bouncing up and down in his seat like a child)

Olivia: (hands up in offense) "Hey now, I'm in too! Even though I was pissed at you, I will always have your back Anna."

Louis: "Yes of course love, we will always be there for ya. And it sounds like we're gonna need all the help we can get so, can Zayn come too?! Please! Pretty please?! Oh it would be so much fun!" (his hands pleading)

Anna: "Louis, no need to beg! The more the merrier! I'm just so happy you guys are going to help me and don't think I'm crazy anymore!"(Brings them in for a tight hug)

Louis: "Yeah I don't know if we fully believe in your sanity just yet but I'm ready to find out! (they all pull away from hug) Where to first? I'll call Zayn and tell him to get his ass over here, we're going on an adventure!" (Claps hands excitedly)

Anna: (laughing at how ridiculous Louis is being) "The first ingredient on the list is rose petals and it says we need to get them from some guy named Ed. His location is there on the paper Jade gave me."

Olivia: (determined) "Alright then let's go find this Ed!"

Louis: (throwing his phone down next to him on the couch) "Zayn is on his way! This is exciting! Although I'm not sure why we can't just get some rose petals from the flower shop down the street."

Anna: "Louis, these ingredients are apparently really powerful, which is why Jade doesn't keep them at her house, these aren't going to be regular old rose petals."

Louis: "Ooo spooky. Alright then, I'm off to change into my adventure attire! I hope this Ed guy is ready, because we're coming for his rose petals!" (Pointing his fingers out like guns and moving them up and down).

Olivia: "Get the hell outta here Louis!" (Olivia and Anna laugh as Louis saunters out of the room and holsters his "guns").

Anna: "Oh boy, we sure are in for it." (Shaking her head and laughing).
