Chapter 13

After Anna got home from work she rushed inside the apartment to tell Louis and Olivia about the date.

"Guys! The new guy Scott from work asked me on a date!"

Louis' head shoots towards her, his mouth agape. "No way! The really hot one?"

Anna just nodded her head eagerly.

"That's great babe. It's nice to see you smile." Louis said understandingly.

Olivia looked at Anna with sincere eyes. "Yeah I'm happy to see you so excited about something. When's the date?"

Anna clasped her hands together excitedly. "It's tonight!" She squealed.

Olivia eyes grew big. "Well you better go get ready then!" She shooed her away. Once Anna was in her room, Olivia turned to Louis.

"Lou, I'm glad she's happy but I don't know about this. Is a date with some guy the best way to get her out of this slump?" Olivia asked softly.

Louis sighed. "I don't know. Sometimes meeting someone new is that push you need to get over someone. I hope this goes well. I don't know if her heart can take it if not."

Olivia nodded, not saying anything else and she took her phone out of her pocket and sent a quick text to her now boyfriend, Niall.

Olivia: Hey babe, you're not gonna believe this. Anna just came home and told us she has a date with a new guy from work! She looks so happy but idk I'm a little apprehensive about this.

Niall: Oh wow. Well I'm glad she's happy, but I can see why you're concerned.

Olivia: Have you talked to him?

Niall knew who she was referring to, she didn't need to say his name.

Niall: No, I'm still annoyed at him for being such a dick. I might go over there today and check on him though.

Olivia: Okay, let me know how it goes if you do. Love you x

Niall: Alright, Love you too xx

Olivia locked her phone and sighed. She really wished things didn't go so badly. Anna may be happy in the moment, but it's possible that she's running away from her feelings, and that's a recipe for disaster.

On that final thought, Anna comes waltzing out of her bedroom in a robe with a towel wrapped around her head.

"Hey Liv, can you help me find something to wear?"

"Sure!"

Anna walked back to her room, and once Olivia got inside they rummaged around for an outfit. It took about 20 minutes but all the searching was worth it.

Anna felt beautiful. Something she had not felt in a while.

She gave herself one last look in the mirror before heading outside where Scott was waiting to pick her up.

Once she saw him she smiled. "Hey there! You look nice." She said, giving him a small hug.

"Thank you, you look great. Ready to go?"

Anna nodded in response and Scott opened the door to his truck and helped her inside.

Once in the car Anna turned to Scott. "So, where are we going?"

Scott gave her a smirk before replying, "You'll just have to wait and see."

Scott took her outside of the city to a place with lots of farms and open space, something Anna doesn't see too often. It looked so beautiful.
