As the Quagmires waltzed into the lunchroom, happy to take a break from their dreadful works, they noticed the screaming of a particularly dreadful voice. "Cake sniffing orphans in the orphan shack!" Carmelita Spats yelled. "Should we help them?" Duncan said. "Probably" Said Isadora. "Oh leaves them alone Carmelita!" The whole room went quiet at the sound of Quigley's voice booming the old lunchroom. "Yeah Carmelita. Your the cake sniffer and no one in their right mind would want to sit with you anyway!" Duncan soon joined in. "Come on, there's room at our table." Isadora said. And with that, the six preteens walked over to the Quagmire's table. "You'll have to forgive Carmelita. She's so awful, Mrs. Bass is considering a life of crime." Quigley whisper-yelled. "Yeah and it doesn't help that she has a crush on you, Quigley." Isadora said. Quigley let out a tiresome sigh. "I'm Quigley Quagmire and this is my brother Duncan and my sister Isadora." Quigley said. "I'm Violet Baudelaire and this is my brother Klaus and my sister Sunny." The older girl said. "It's nice to meet you Violet." Quigley said, holding Violet's gaze. They stared at each other for at least five seconds before it became awkward. Klaus cleared his throat, and the two broke their stare. "I hope your surviving the orphan shack. It's pretty awful. We were living there too before you guys came." Duncan said, a backdrop of pity in his voice. "How did you guys deal with the crabs?" Klaus said. "Well we figured out the crabs are afraid of loud noises, so we just banged pots together." Isadora said. "Hmmmm" Violet hummed as she reached into her right hand pocket to grab a dark purple ribbon and tied it in a bow around her hair. "Violet's an inventor. Whenever she is thinking or building, she ties her hair up." Klaus explained. The triplets nodded as Violet closed her eyes. After about six seconds, her eyes bursted open. "Noisy shoes!" She yelled. "If we tap metal to the botton of our shoes, every time we walk, the noise will scare away the crabs!" Violet cried. "Wow! That's incredible! You came up with that in six seconds and we were in that shack a whole trimester!" Duncan exclaimed. The Baudelaire's chuckled. "Klaus is amazing with books! He can remember almost any fact he has read. And Sunny has amazingly sharp teeth!" Violet said. " Isadora is amazing at writing couplets, I usually spend my time writing in my journal and Quigley is phenomenal at baseball." Duncan said. Before any of them got a chance to speak again, they were ushered out of the lunchroom and back to their classrooms.
