New rule:
Italics = Adrien/Chat thoughts (unless it is an emphasized word, obv)
Bold = Marinette/Ladybug thoughts
Chapters will generally be in one perspective/focus on either Mari or Chat

Adrien scowled down at the homework on his desk. No matter what he did, he couldn't focus on particle physics. Maybe if he had been able to pay attention in class...
But a certain princess had clouded his thoughts all day. All week, actually. Since his little modeling gig with Marinette had passed, he hadn't spoken to her. He kept thinking of her smile, the way she giggled at his flirtiness.
But he also thought about what happened before. He thought of Nathanael, all over her. He thought of the way she was on top of him, how they were inseparable. His blood boiled as his mind remembered it, crystal-clear. He wanted to be there, not Nathanael. He wanted his princess to whisper 'I love you' to him.
Adrien shoved his homework aside and stood abruptly. He whipped his head to find Plagg sitting on the piano, admiring a particularly runny slice of camembert. He felt a twinge of guilt, watching how happy the cheese made Plagg. But, Nathanael made him feel worse.
"Plagg, claws out!"
Chat Noir ran across the rooves of Paris, making his way to one that wasn't exactly far. He saw a soft light emitting from the windows of Marinette's room, knowing she was probably doing some sewing. It was sunset and the landscape behind Marinette's townhouse was awestriking. Chat tore his eyes from the beautiful sky and landed on the familiar balcony.
He saw the trapdoor was cracked slightly. He smirked to himself; Marinette left the kitty door open.
Chat peeked into the room and saw Marinette at her desk, working furiously at a piece of baby pink fabric. He saw his chance and didn't waste it. He snuck in silently and crept up behind Marinette, placing his clawed hands over her eyes.
"Guess who," he purred.
"Chat Noir," Marinette regarded him, breaking free of his grip and turning to face him, "usually people knock."
Chat grinned at Marinette's sassy attitude. "You left the kitty door open."
"I wanted fresh air, not strays wandering in," Marinette retorted instantly. Her arms were intertwined, and she looked incredibly cross.
"Awe, can you really be mad at me, princess?" Chat made an adorable face. This made Marinette falter for a split second before she regained her composure.
"Yes. I am enraged. Furious. Livid." She had an icy edge to her words, and they cut through Chat like he was an overripe fruit. "You have the audacity to come around my house, have a great time, and then leave me all alone for a week. You evil cat!" He voice became comical and dramatic, and Chat smiled knowing she wasn't really mad.
The cute smile morphed into a sly smirk in no time.
"Did you miss me, Princess?" Chat drawled. He took a step forward, getting extremely close to Marinette. She pushed his nose away.
"Of course not, don't be vain. I had Nathanael to keep me company," Marinette's face became dreamy at the mention of her boyfriend.
That, of course, didn't bode well with Chat.
He was reminded of why he was here again. He was on a mission. He had to do something to get Marinette on his side. She had to fall for him. Preferably not off a tower this time.
Chat decided if he was gonna do this, he had to make a move. He wondered what to do next...
"Yeah. that's another thing." Chat's voice seemed to deepen, becoming huskier. "This whole... 'boyfriend' thing. Doesn't work for me."
"It doesn't have to. It works for Nathanael and I. You aren't a part of it. Why should you care?" Marinette replied as Chat regained their earlier proximity, but in a less mocking way.
God, those eyes...
"Maybe I want to get involved."
That smooth skin...
"W-well, don't. Y-you can't."
Those soft, pink lips...
"Why not?" Chat challenged. He had to keep his voice steady as he saw a blush creep up Marinette's face and was about to lose his cool.
"B-because, I love him. And he loves me. And y-you..." Marinette's voice trailed off.
"I...?" Chat was closer than ever, and Marinette could feel his hot breath fan over her face. It made her feel something...
"Y-you need to back up!" Marinette cried, shoving him back. She almost did it. She almost gave in. She almost hurt Nathanael and herself.
This is bad... But amazing! She lost her cool. She blushed. She's questioning herself...
Chat knew he should feel bad for essentially seducing a taken girl. But he didn't. Because Marinette was his, and Nathanael couldn't have her. Nobody could. Going against all personal morals, he leaned forward again, just about to make contact...
BAM
Well, that's just perfect.
"I'll be back soon. To finish what I started," Chat grabbed her hand, kissing it, and jumped out of her room and into the night.
It was one distracted Akuma on both ends.
Wow so I'm actually not being a disappointment do you love me now
SO THEre. Have your chapter. I know you wanted more you sinful little children. But alas, I must torture you. It's chapter 5 in fanfic author handbook. I know it's a bit cliche and there's ALOT of dialogue. Sorry. But you got your tease so get over it. (also I know not much happened this is more of a filler honestly I will get to more plot and drama next time) Also, thanks so much for 100+ reads! That's insane for me!!! (Even though realistically it isn't that much) okay. I think that's it. Leave suggestions, please!
