1) Back in 1984, Marvel had the option to buy out the whole DC comic universe but turned it down because "DC characters wouldn't sell because they just weren't very good".

2) Hawkeye is a member of both the Justice League as well as the Avengers.

3) In 2000, a project was created to create a DC- multiverse crossover movie, called "Batman versus Superman"

4) During the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover comic, the Flash ran so fast that he turned into pure energy, travelled back in time and hit himself as the very lightning bolt that gave him his superpowers in the first place.

5) The Joker was originally supposed to die in his second appearance. He was saved by editor Whitney Ellsworth who saw the potential in the character.
