Research and research. Pictures of the same beat up truck and the same pair of redneck idiots. Articles of two men breaking into houses, still not found. Hours of no sleep and VERY strong coffee. "Missouri. Oregon. South Carolina." I said to myself and then looked at the clock. 9 am. I let out a sigh of exhaustion and took a gulp of coffee. I searched through the files and files. "Ok, last place they were seen was," I scanned through the files, "This state?" I muttered to myself. There was pictures of the pair in stores and there was pictures of their rust-bucket of a truck. I knew what they were here for. The Naga. Arthur. I grabbed my phone and texted y/n.
'T-TY84PL'
I got up and rushed to get things together. I then had a flashback. I barely knew them. I was hired to be their third partner in crime. 'Odd one, but he'll do.' I remember one of them saying.
But I cant recall all of it.
'Odd one, but he'll do.'
'Are you a hunter son?'
'No sir.'
'Why did you chose him?'
'He was the cheapest.'
I felt as if they were talking about a damn prostitute or bait for their target. I let out a sigh. After getting everything I rushed over. I knocked and waited. A minute or so, and I wasn't waiting any longer. I pulled out the handgun I had hidden in the waistband of my pants. I then mentally counted '1... 2... 3!!' I kicked the door, but not open. "Dammit all!" I yelled rubbing my leg in pain. "Curse my old age!" I hissed to myself. I then started to pick the lock, soon opening the door. I looked around slowly with my gun in hand. There was footsteps on the rather old staircases. I aimed my gun up the stair case quickly. "AH! DAD WHAT THE HELL?! PUT THE GUN AWAY!!" Y/n yelled, wearing pajamas. I put the gun down and sighed in relief, "Why didn't you answer your phone or the door?" I asked y/n, who was in mid yawn and stretching. "I couldn't get up. Arthur was curled up around me and I didn't want to wake him up." She explained, I let out a sigh and started up the stairs. "He's still asleep?"
"Nope. Well, probably not." She said thinking about it, I sighed and went to the only open door. There was the naga asleep of y/n's bed. He was curled up in a small ball. "He slept with you last night?" I asked and looked back at where y/n was. She wasn't there. I sighed and went downstairs to see her in the kitchen cooking already. "Why did you show up so early?" She asked as she was cooking. I pulled out my phone and shown her the LED screen. She frowned, " 'T-TY84PL'? What happened?" She asked, I sighed. "You regained your memory right?" I asked, after nodding she turn off the stove and sat down. I could tell that she was nervous about what was about to be said. I just hoped Arthur wasn't awake to hear this.
"They're back and they are looking for you and Arthur."
"WHAT?!" She asked in a panic, she stood up freaking out. She started gibbering on and on about the fact. "Y/n, calm down." I said, she instantly stopped and looked at me with a small glare. "CALM DOWN!?" She exclaimed, "HOW?! THE TWO PYROS THAT BURNED DOWN MY CHILDHOOD HOME AND TOOK AWAY MY MEMORIES ARE BACK AND LOOKING FOR US!!" She sat down and put both hands on her head in distress. I let out a sigh and put a hand on her head, "Calm. I won't let anything happen to either of you." I said, she took a deep breath and nodded softly. I sat beside her and then heard a small thump. Thump. thump. The sound repeated over and over again. The naga came into view as the thumping continued. His tail hit the stairs, causing the multiple thumps. "Morning Arty." Y/n said in a sweet tone, Arthur looked at her, "Morning y/n." He said and then his green eyes looked at me. His eyes then had hints of surprise in them. "Mr. Clark? What are you doing here?" He asked. I chuckled and shrugged softly, "Paying a visit." I said, knowing I can't let him know until the time is right. I could feel y/n glaring at me from the side.
"Y/n? Are you ok?" Arthur asked looking at her, she nodded. "Yea! Im fine! Nothing to worry about!" She said, the tone of her voice sounded rather pissed but it wasn't too noticeable. "Oh. Ok." Arthur said and coiled his tail around himself and leaned his torso against his tail. "So!" I clapped my hands together softly, "Have you found a way to turn him human?" Directing the question to y/n, which leads to her sighing and shaking her head. "Not at all. He said that there is a way to turn him human, but it seems impossible." I mentally questioned what that meant and started thinking. "And that way is?"
"Blood." She stated simply, "Human blood to be exact."
"Ah. Well, that doesn't seem too impossible." I said thinking about it. "But how much?" I asked, looking between the two. "That's what I don't know." Arthur said with a small sigh. "Well find a way. Im not an agent for nothing!" I said with a small laugh, y/n sighed. "Yea. Yea." She said, I looked towards her. "You don't think that I can do anything?"
"I never said that." She said, "Just curious how you are supposed to get it."
"Umm.." I paused and continued to think. I let out a sigh of defeat. "I don't know I'll figure something out."
