it's been a couple of days now, melissa has said to everyone it's best for to visit later on. today is saturday and melissa has offered to go pick everyone up and bring them in. i have still yet to leave the hospital. my mum has been continuously bringing fresh clothes and trying to drag me out. even the doctors have been trying to get me home

it's now 7:45 am and maddie has just brought me some starbucks. i mumble a 'thanks' before demolishing all the food. i feel her stare burning into me. "john, you really need to go home." maddie looks at me. i ignore her and continue eating the food she kindly gave me. "seriously, you look horrible." she says, sympathetically.

"i can't leave her here, this is all my fault, you should be the one going home." i crumble up the food wrapper and sit my drink on the table next to me.

"john, this isn't your fault and you know that!" maddie stares at me from the other side of the bed. i look at kenzie lying on the bed, pipes flowing through her mouth.

"i'm not leaving." i sternly speak to maddie, she shakes her head at my response, sliding down into the chair.

it's now 11:50 am and melissa has brought in some homemade sandwiches for us to eat since we haven't been eating very healthy for the past couple of days. my mum also dropped by with lauren. lauren had yet to see her because of melissa's rules of no visitors. she cried of course. i mean who wouldn't cry at the sight of their best friend in a coma with there leg in a cast.

maddie informed me that she was going to pick up brynn because she had no other way of getting to the hospital. i decided to text the group chat saying that they were welcome to come in and see her.

juanorlando: hey guys, melissa said you can come in and visit if you all want.

byrnnbabe: maddie and i just left home

juanorlando: okay you guys can come after brynn, we'll let her have some alone time with her.

byrnnbabe: thanks john :)

lolo: can i come in later tonight?

juanorlando: ofc

haydensum: me and carson will come in later, stay strong man, sending love to the ziegler's aswell

banannie: i'll come and visit her after brynn, just text me when she has left :)

juanorlando: okay, see you all later

i wait for around 10 minutes before brynn bursts through the door. she looks at the state of kenzie and face shows complete sadness. she looks up at me and gives me a soft, sympathetic smile. she opens up her arms, offering a hug. i get myself off the chair for the first time today and embrace brynn.

"i'm sorry," i whisper into her shoulder. she quickly stops giving me her embrace and shows me a face of confusion.

"sorry for what? you weren't the one who put her in this coma." she rests her hands on my shoulder. i look down at the floor. "exactly." she uses her famous 'duh' tone, she uses everytime she is right. which is all the time. byrnn is definitely one of the smart ones in our group.
