Illuminated shelves of numerous shoes all orderly lined up. The scent of cleansing air welcoming people into the store. Girls exclaiming over the intricacy of the embellished high heels, ironic when often they are thrown aside towards the end of the bedazzled evening.
Proceeded through the store, I entered the storeroom. Quite a different atmosphere. The blackened walls muffling the chatter from within the store. A man, medium build and olive skin. His veined hands and hazel eyes cooperatively fixated on the blade and slip of fabric.
"What a day you're having, Kyle Yang" I said sarcastically, his gaze now diverged to my presence.
"What about you? Trinity, the computer nerd" he responded mockingly. My eyes trailed to his hand, blood gathered in the chapped crevices. My hand cradling his as I roughly placed a Disney Princess bandaid over it. His glare darted at me.
"It's the only band-aid I have, don't judge" Trinity mumbled.
Night fell, the velvet sky was like a blank canvas for the night-lights. Stars illuminated the tranquil streets. Walking side by side. His eyes covered by his jet-black hair. His hands, one hung low beside him as the other was in the pocket of his Adidas hoodie. I studied his face, my eyes trailing from his high nose bridge down towards his structured jawline. Without his glasses, he looked really manly and charismatic. He caught me staring at him and cheekily smiled.
"Pay up sweetie, not everyone gets to look at this handsome face" Kyle said gesturing for money.
"Hahaha handsome you say, you look like Shrek" Trinity giggled as he mockingly laughed.
"Says you Ursula" he responded as I slapped him on the arm. I walked into the dorm, I turned back for a split second welcomed by his comforting smile.

7:00, Brrinngggg Brringgggg
I groaned in protest as I embraced the warmth of the plush pink sheets. I rolled out of bed, fixing my black shorts as they rode up from my restless night. I slipped on a hoodie and tracksuit pants over my black one-piece. The pool was almost empty this early morning. The clear waters, a cold sensation crawling through me as my body was submerged in its' fluid motion. My arms stroked uniformly through the water, working cooperatively with my legs as they left a distinct trail of miniature bubbles. I panted heavily, regaining my breath. I saw a pair of legs in front of me and instinctively looked up and laughed.
"When I see you at times like this, I wish you weren't here" I joked.
"Watch your words, Trinity Huynh" Kyle responded.
"I don't want to get out, the water is too nice" I whined.
"C'mon we got class soon, I'll wait outside, be there by 8:20" He demanded. I gave him a disgusted look as I got out of the pool.
He handed me a ham, cheese and tomato toastie.
"You always go over time, I made one for you" He said avoiding eye contact with me. I giggled as I thanked him.
I saw a masculine figure approach us. Chiselled jawline, His white sweater loosely embraced his muscular body. His hands brushing his messy blonde locks out of his face. I felt my cheeks burn up as he approached closer and closer. Thoughts of anxiety and fear struck on my mind. He approached us with a smirk, I can't help but scoff at his complete arrogance.
"Hey Felicity" He said, my eyes diverged away from him. His fingers lifting my chin to face him.
"I can't wait to see you tomorrow" He whispered before he left. I felt tears form in my eyes as I looked over at Kyle. My emotions were a complete wreck at this point. He didn't even know my name. That bastard.
"I've got to get to class, I'll see you later" He said patting me on the back awkwardly.
I could only think about the what-ifs and if I never knew.
