The hands of the clock, ticking slower and slower as I grew impatient. Kyle didn't even give me a second glance. Uneasy thoughts rushing through my head wondering what I did wrong.

"Class Dismissed" the Professor said as he lifted his glasses over his nose-bridge.

I grabbed Kyle's arm, "Can we talk?" I asked.

"I got another class" he said coldly as he walked off.

I ran in front of him, causing him to stop and roll his eyes.

"Why are you so mad at me? What did I do wrong?" I yelled at him.

"Nothing, you did nothing wrong" He shot back.

"Then why are you mad at me?" I hollered.

"Because I like you ok? You suddenly want to do everything for him like dress all girly and stare at him all day. We are just friends but that is all I'll ever be to you. It tears me apart to look at you every day, I knew you liked him the whole time, but I was stupid enough to think one day you would look at me differently. So can you please just leave me alone?" Kyle blurted.

I was speechless, unable to process what he had just told me.

He stormed off to his next class. I sat on the bench, my heart continued pacing faster and faster.

'Noah is Calling'

"Hello" I answered.

"Hey where are you? I'm at the cinema right now" Noah said cheerfully.

"I'm so sorry, I'll get there as soon as I can" I replied.

I sat in the cinema, completely distracted by my thoughts.

"Movies are so great right? The graphics are astounding in this" Noah exclaimed.

'Wait until he should find out that I'm a book person' I thought to myself.

Flashback
"Put that book down, we are at a party, they are watching Fast and Furious" Kyle said with disgust pulling the book out of my hands.

"Give that back, I was at a good point" I yelled.

"At least try to talk to someone" He said assertively.

"I'm talking to you right now, that counts right" I hinted sassily.

"You should try reading, instead of watching action movies" I continued.

"Fine, if you socialise here, I will read a book for you" He said

"Deal, I'm picking it that book though" I said with a smile as I shook his hand.

End of Flashback
'It's amazing how one little promise and converted him from movies to books.' I thought chuckling to myself.

In the restaurant, I blankly stirred the transparent pink lemonade.

"Are you ok, Trinity?" Noah asked.

"Would you believe me if I said I was?" I responded.

"Your face says it all, you are unsure about something, in this case I'm guessing someone"

"It's Kyle isn't it?" He asked.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled trying to gather my words.

"I just want to know, if I asked you before?" He hinted.

"Yea, I probably would have. But it's stupid but I've always liked him, but I just never knew it myself. Suddenly now that I do, I'm constantly trying to deny it" I confided.

"Now when he is acting all cold and ignoring me, I feel like I can't live. He told me that he liked me, but how do I know it's not just some lie or pity towards me?" I questioned.

"Ask him yourself, think about it this way, it can't get worse than this" Noah said reassuringly.

I took the bus home. My heart felt shattered that Kyle didn't want anything to do with me. Nathan waved at me.

"What are you doing here?" I said as I shot him a confused look.

"No reason, I'll walk you home" He said reassuringly.

"How did your date go?" He asked curiously,

"It didn't work out" I said softly smiling. The walk home was rather uneventful.

Nathan waved goodbye and then proceeded to walk back to the guys' dorm.

*beep beep*

'Kyle: Did she get in ok?'

'Nathan: She got in fine'
